According to American intelligence analysts there was a Torkhum training camp in Afghanistan.[1]

A Summary of Evidence memo prepared for Guantanamo captive Abdul Rauf Omar Mohammed Abu Al Qusin's Combatant Status Review Tribunal justified his continued extrajudicial detention, in part, because he was alleged to have attended training camps in Torkhum and Samar Khaila[1]:

The detainee received weapons training (AK-47, sniper rifle, RPGs, and 82mm mortars) at two Libyan training camps located within Afghanistan (Torkhum and Samar Khaila).
