  1. During a conflict, keep in mind that you gain support through respecting someone, not necissarily holding the same views as they do. You can quell an edit war this way, simply by respecting the power of blatant POV while not giving into it.--The ikiroid (talk·desk·Advise me) 20:50, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
  2. I'd try to use edit summaries a bit more, but that's about all I can think of. 69.145.123.171 Hello! Saturday, June 24, 2006, 22:13 (UTC)

  4. There is a feature available to allow you to change the way Wikipedia is rendered for you. It's your own page script. If you use the Monobook skin, the feature page is available at User:GeorgeMoney/monobook.js. You can add features to your use of Wikipedia by editing this page. One feature I find extremely useful is the link popup code, which, when you hover over a wikipedia link, shows you the first paragraph of that link, as well as provides additional features. You can use it by adding the code for it to your monobook.js (or other skinning script if you don't use monobook.) Here's what it looks like:
document.write('<script type="text/javascript" src="'
            + 'http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Lupin/popups.js'
            + '&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&dontcountme=s"></script>');
I find Lupin's script to be very useful and I recommend it highly. Paul Robinson (Rfc1394) 11:54, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
