Ghusaote Nagwar were two legendary villages said to have existed and washed away by the river Kosi centuries ago. The village was said to be located in the northern part of Bihar, known as Mithilanchal or the land of the Maithils.

The User, Vedang Thakur, is the descendant of the Thakur family which was believed to be living in this village and fled this village during the flood and settled in the village of Bhattsimar.
