Davani Biography

Gholamhossein Davani born in Abadan ( The most important Oil industry ) in 1953 .His father was worker class in Iran-England Company( then National Iranian Oil Company= NIOC) .He finished elementary school in “Farhang and Kayvan” and passed secondary school in Mathematic major in Razi high school on 1970. Davani holds a B.S in Cost Accounting from Iranian Institute of Advanced Accounting (IIAA) in 1975.He went to University of Florida but didn’t completed his M.S degree and back to Iran 1976.He finished his MBA and EMBA in Industrial Management Institute (IMI) .He holds CPA,CFE,IIA Certification.

He teaches Tax Accounting, Auditing and Accounting Foundation. He has published in variety of journals including “ Hessabda” , “ Hesabdar Rasmi” , “Economic news” ,” Asia “, “Donyayeh Eghtesad “ and other economic newspaper in iran. In the past Davani served as member of High Council of Iranian Institute of Certified Accountants (IICA) and also Iranian Association of Certified Public Accountants (IACPA). In the period 2003-2006 he was editor of Hesabdar megezine of Iranian Institute of Certified Accountants( Member of IFAC) .Davani was one of the teachers of Centre of and teaches taxation and commerce law .he and receipt twice tax award from Iran National Tax affairs for excellent in teaching and research of tax. Davani is member of several international professional body same as International Association for Accounting Education( IAAER) , Canadian Academy of Accounting Association (CAAA),The Association of Professional Economists of British Columbia (APEBC) , Association of International accountants (AIA) , New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants(NYSSCPA) , Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) , American accounting association (AAA) , Institute of Management Accountants(IMA), Institute of Internal Auditors(IIA) and European Accounting association (EAA) . He is one of founders of Dayarayan Auditing & Financial Services Firm ( RSM International in Iran ) .He was managing partner till 2012 . He has made over 25 presentations at conferences and workshops throughout the world, and has published 14 books (Tax accounting 1992) , Iran Direct Tax (1992) , Guide of Value Add Tax accounting ( 2008) ,Corporate accounting ( 2000) , Stock Exchange, Stock and Business Valuation ( 1997) , Unabridged applied dictionary of accounting & auditing ( 1997) ,Collection roles of commerce Code( 1998), Collection Rules of Foreign Investing, Free Tradeand Industrial Zones of Iran (1988) ,Checks Law (1995),Examination review of “Direct Taxes acts and Commercial Code”(2006)’Collection of Labour Law & Social Security (1998), Doing Business in Iran ( 2008) . Davani and Professor Zabihollah Rezaee his classmates in BA degree has written history of Iran accounting that would special chapter of the world accounting History has published by Emerald publication in 2012.Davani hold certificate Against Money laundry in 2009 . Davani has been retired in 2010 and is resident of Canada.
