Before his birth, Pedro was diagnosed with a rare condition known as Prune belly syndrome  which is a genetic, birth defect affecting about 1 in 40,000 births . Pedro was born in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 29, 1991.
As a child, Pedro attended the Colégio São Vicente de Paulo in Niteroi until his family moved to Petropolis where he attended the Instituto Social São José until his move to the United States of America in 2000.
As a sophomore in high school, Pedro created the website Crank Up The Heat  which is a basketball website that has news and information on the Miami Heat. The success of the website was so great that Pedro was offered an Internship by ESPN Radio 760 from West Palm Beach, Florida  during his junior year.
Pedro was a member of the Olympic Heights Marching Band from 2005-2009 . He was the 1st Lieutenant of the marching band during his senior year.
Pedro was also a member of the soccer team from 2007-2009.
Pedro currently works at The Boca Raton Tribune as the sports editor .
Pedro is the son of Douglas and Adinilza Heizer and the brother of Andre and Gabriela Heizer.
