Why can't the edits stay?[edit]

The Ktunaxa people should not be re-directed to Kootenai. Why does this continue to change back?

--KtunaxaNation (talk) 19:51, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

First of All, the portion you are trying to include is copyrighted material from this site. Secondaly, you should provide with reliable source to verify your claims that Ktunaxa and Kootenai are two different tribe. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia take copyright violation seriously and persistant violator may be blocked. I am redirecting it as of now. Please do not revert without proper citation and verification. Regards. Hitro talk 20:06, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Ktunaxa re-direct[edit]

I am the Communications Manager for the Ktunaxa Nation (responsible for www.ktunaxa.org), and I find it very frustrating to navigate through this issue. The Ktunaxa is the name that the Ktunaxa people call themselves.... Kootenai is the "white person" name that was given to them. The least that could happen is that the re-direct go in reverse..... so that Kootenai re-directs to Ktunaxa. I am sure that Wikipedia doesn't have a page called "Indians", but instead has the correct term "First Nations"..... in this case, Wikipedia is out of step with being politically correct.

There is a Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, but is just one of the member communities that make up the Ktunaxa Nation.

--KtunaxaNation (talk) 20:25, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

I have proposed the page move here. It will be reviewed and changes may be reflected within few hours.
Wikipedia has global audiences therefore some terms may look politically incorrect to a group or to a particular nation. Generally globalized terms are used at Wikipedia. Hitro talk 20:50, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Hello!!! You have not done anything wrong at all. The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability. Please make your self familiar with WP:GNG and WP:V. These are basic policies and guidelines. If you believe that this article should be kept then place your point at deletion discussion page. If consensus is reached in favor of retaining the article then this article wont be deleted. Regards!!!! Hitro talk 18:18, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ben harms[edit]

As you have said the article can be "retained" following the re-write, it would help the assessing admin if you make a note under your nom statement of this (i.e. "nom withdrawn"). Thanks. Ty 23:26, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zenisha Moktan[edit]

Harassing users on-wiki who do not agree with your AfD nominations is a blockable offence. I have answered your request for policy reasons on my keep arguments. That should be sufficient. Chuthya (talk) 13:38, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Harassing is blockable offense but warning users who harass Wikipedia is not. Your arguments are still weak and dubious. Hitro talk 15:27, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

ANI notification[edit]

Hello. Quick request. When you bring up an issue with a particular editor to WP:ANI (or other public forum), it's good if that editor knows s/he is being discussed so folks responding there know both sides are represented. A one-line notification on their talk page suffices. Thanks. Wknight94 talk 16:55, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi there!!! Will keep that in mind from next time. Regards!!! Hitro talk 16:58, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Gurung Dharma[edit]

How about that when we have a link like main Article:.... Will not in this case two articles have the same wrods and sentences? I mean will not the words or paragraph be taken from the main articles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theprofessordoctor (talkcontribs) 07:03, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

At this situation, rather than creating a separate article, you should consider creating a section in main article and redirecting the subject name to newly created section. That makes article more readable and informative. Regards!!! Hitro talk 11:46, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Miss Pooja[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Miss Pooja. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miss Pooja (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Medicinernes Skiklub Svartor[edit]

Hello. I am contacting you because you are listed as a participant for WikiProject Norway, and the above-mentioned article is sourced by all Norwegian-language references. Moreover, the references do not appear to support notability; they might be mere trivial references to the subject. Since these sources are all offline, and I do not speak or read Norwegian, I'm hoping whether you can assist me in determining whether the article qualifies for speedy deletion. Many thanks! War Edition at Dili[edit]

Users J. Patrick Fischer (talk) Merbabu (talk) and Darwinius (talk) are removing systematically the symbols of the city alleging they are not used anymore. The problem is that they doesn´t quote any relevant source to remove the symbols and prove they are not used anymore, despite there´s a law supporting them. I gave the data, he is disputing it, just for personal taste. Domaleixo (talk) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.41.242.19 (talk) 14:22, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tamara Kučan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Romance (genre) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Vanuatu[edit]

My edit may have oddly affected the references to Vanuatu but my edit was to link to a new article, not an act of bad faith. Please check the purpose behind an edit before declaring it as unconstructive. Thank you.Spiritualstonewarrior (talk) 20:18, 29 November 2013 (UTC)

Re vanadalism[edit]

Hello, How are you. I have read your messege. But what does the wikipedia policy says about when someone has corrupted the original text of the book to post it as a reference. In the mentioned article a reference from Philip Edward Jones book Pakistan Army. The original text of the book mentions Awan Tribe as the most heavily recruited tribe but some editor has inserted Khokhar in it and then pasted it as a reference. This type of things are against the copyright and also create doubts about wikipedia authenticity. That's why I have deleted the text. This text is not worth saving it but some editors are putting their full efforts to save it. I hope you will understand my point. If you are in a position to read this book you can verify my claim. Regards (Kingofjungle (talk) 21:40, 29 November 2013 (UTC))

That's because it is. This is a public government document.
