Mustafa Kamari "Moose" Davis (born July 7, 1974) is an American Minimally Invasive & Bariatric surgeon. He started his career at age 31 in 2006 in General Surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine.

Davis has volunteered his time in many organizations: Meals on Wheels Community Outreach Program, Diabetes Walk, and Habitat for Humanity.

Early life[edit]

Davis was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of Debra Pearson, a retired teacher, and Joseph Davis, a Sports Information Director at Morehouse College. Davis has one step-brother, Jade Pearson. His parents were divorced at an early age. Davis visited his father often in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

He grew up in the urban neighborhoods of Southwest Atlanta.

He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta on a Athletic scholarship for basketball and aspired to become a Physician. In his senior year, he worked at Grady Memorial Hospital as an Emergency Registration Representative.

Davis Biography – After graduating with honors from Benjamin Elijah Mays High School and obtaining an Athletic scholarship in Basketball, he attended Morehouse College, where he earned a degree in Psychology. He chose to go to Morehouse due to the scholarship he received in playing basketball. From Morehouse, he attended Meharry Medical College, where he attained his M.D.

Davis is a Minimally Invasive & Bariatric Surgeon at Emory University Hospital Midtown, Atlanta Medical Center, and Peachtree Surgical & Bariatrics.

Family[edit]

Davis and his wife Danielle Leonard met at Morehouse College in 1992, where Davis played basketball and Leonard was a cheerleader; they married in 2009. Danielle holds an B.A. degree from Spelman College. Davis has one step-daughter, Ariel Leonard.
