INcxo is a social recruiting firm designed to help companies find new employees through a blended recommendation system with interpersonal interviewing and selection. INcxo shares its fees with users for recommending members of their their online and real life social networks. INcxo was founded by Matthew Corbett and Tom Pimm in August 2011 and sets itself apart by combining a recommendation platform with traditional recruiting methodologies.

The company went out of beta version on August 30, 2011 and within 3 hours had the first recommendation submitted. Within 7 days the platform already had almost $100,000 in recommendation bonuses available. Three weeks after launch, INcxo paid the first recommendation bonus.

Company Description[edit]

INcxo developed the concept of Net Value Platform (NVP), a proprietary web tool that allows every member to review all available positions, see the recommendation bonuses and make personal recommendations. Contrary to companies that use social networks to post jobs and call it social recruiting[1], INcxo actually employs the social connections and allows users to recommend friends from both online and real life networks. INcxo differs from other social recommendation platforms such as TopProspect and BranchOut by integrating interpersonal interviewing and selection. The firm combines its recommendation platform with the traditional recruiting methodologies to create a more effective and efficient value proposition to all participants. Representatives of the company contact the recommended candidates, interview and pre-screen them and compile a high-quality list for the hiring company.

INcxo works with clients who have hiring needs by providing a number of services:

  • Retained executive searches. The client pays for conducting an executive search and working with them exclusively through the entire search process.
  • Non-executive contingency searches. The client pays at the completion of the search when we find the right candidate.
  • Interim consultants. The client utilizes consultants on an interim or part time basis to fill short term labor needs.

The company is currently focusing on eight industry sectors:

  • Digital media
  • Advertising
  • Mobile convergence
  • Consumer electronics
  • Telecommunications
  • Financial services
  • Professional services
  • Retail

INcxo lets everyone help their friends and trusted colleagues get access to great jobs and participate in their success. The partnership with Global Giving takes that one step further to empower recommenders to share their success with charities and causes of their choice on a global scale. The partnership between GlobalGiving and INcxo gives members of INcxo the option to select projects they want to support, make contributions, and get regular progress updates to see how each of their gifts makes a difference.
