Liam Gallagher's new band is a band formed in 2010 formed by former members of rock band Oasis Liam Gallagher, Gem Archer, and Andy Bell, along with Oasis's live keyboardist Jay Darlington, who had been touring with the band since 2002, Gorillaz live bassist Jeff Wootton, and drummer Chris Sharrock, who had toured with the band on their final Dig Out Your Soul tour, after the departure of Oasis’s songwriter and guitarist Noel Gallagher.
In 1991, Britpop band Oasis was formed by two brothers, vocalist Liam Gallagher and lead guitarist Noel Gallagher. The band also consisted of rhythm guitarist Paul Arthurs and bassist Paul McGuigan. They kept this lineup, with a few different drummers, until 2002, when Arthurs and McGuigsan were replaced by Gem Archer and Andy Bell respectively. 2009-2010: Oasis Break up and Evolve into Liam Gallagher's new band
In 2009, Noel Gallagher, who had acted as Oasis’s main songwriter and band leader, left the group. Liam Gallagher announced plans to continue without him, but eventually decided that this new group was no longer Oasis.
