This page seeks to collect and visualize data on the activity of each yearly cohort of administrators in en.wiki for each year. Information on data collection and the creation of this page can be found at the bottom.

Note: cells in either table do not include users from the cohort with no edits in the target year, so concerns about bias (e.g. survivorship bias) remain. Data for 2025 is not included as only partial data was available at time of writing.

Discussion

Median is included to account for outliers affecting the average. Data taken from this quarry query. Processed using code from this github repository. The query also allows the possibility for one to view the edits made pre- and post-admin permission acquisition, which is a possible further point of study. I personally don't have any interest in doing that currently, but other editors are very welcome to try their hand with it.
