I am Professor at Hunter College and the Graduate Center, CUNY in Sociology. My professional interests in Wikipedia are in working on articles on race, racism, women's and queer topics, and the pages of POC, QPOC and Black feminist scholars.

I'm an internationally recognized expert on the Internet manifestations of racism. I'm the author or editor of five books, two of which -- White Lies (1997) and Cyber Racism (2009) -- examine white nationalism on either side of the rise of the popular Internet.

I'm also the author of dozens of peer-reviewed articles in journals such as New Media & Society, Gender & Society, American Behavioral Scientist, American Journal of Public Health, Women’s Studies Quarterly, among others.
