Hi, I'm Joe. I'm a computational archaeologist, researching the human ecology and cultural evolution of foraging societies in prehistoric Southwest Asia. My homepage has more information about my off-wiki work.

On Wikipedia, I work on articles about archaeology, biographies of scientists, and a handful of other subjects. I think it's important to address systemic biases in our coverage and I set up the women in archaeology task force to that end. I'm also an administrator on the English Wikipedia and was a member of its Arbitration Committee in 2019–2020.

I have one alternative account, Joe Roe (mobile).
