Jordi Feliu Painter.(Jordi Ezquerra Feliu) 1952, Architect graduated from Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya and The Savannah College of Art and Design, Jordi Feliu received bachelor's and master's degree in Fine Arts. Born in Barcelona (Spain) currently living in Natal (Brazil) Jordi Feliu is considered an experimental artist who teaches and shares his knowledge with other aspiring artists. He taught at several art schools. The current work of Jordi Feliu is a mixture of oil paint, acrylic paint and encaustic painting techniques. These techniques have given him the opportunity to experiment within the realm of mixed media. His paintings are often layered with multiple color combinations that enhance the surface, creating a tactile effect. The textures are rich in both strokes and palette knife work. His paintings seem to come together with your imagination, and yet in a purely abstract level if you approach them. Most of his work is expressionist and is not rooted in a particular place, but instead speaks of a state of mind or general feeling of being surrounded by nature. His style is current with contemporary thoughts about the abstract nature and the image plane. Since 2003 Jordi Feliu is director and curator of the gallery: Art & Art Gallery.
