Background[edit]

KeyLime Cove Resort opened on February 29, 2008 by Dave W. Anderson, the well-known founder of the established BBQ franchise, Famous Dave's. He held a vision of creating a replica of Duval Street in Key West, Florida. He designed the resort's colours using the advice from a panel of mothers in the local Gurnee area. Due to the young age of KeyLime Cove, Dave Anderson was able to take into account the issues that the surrounding amusement parks have previously encountered to provide an efficient floor plan for his own resort. The idea of the design schematic behind the resort's meaning supplies guests of all ages with a "Lost Paradise" experience. The indoor waterpark resort is currently being owned and managed by S&L Hospitality while Dave Anderson remains the visionary.
