George Beckerman brings to Marlin & Associates more than 25 years of accomplishments in investment banking and strategic consulting, and also as an operating executive, all in the digital information services industry.
George's deep understanding of the industry and his seasoned approach to conducting business contributes to the success of M&A's clients, in the US and globally. His clients have included companies that produce software applications to support information services; and information-services companies that serve customers in the business, financial, legal, health, academic, and governmental sectors.
George began his business career advising firms such as the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, R.R. Donnelley & Sons, and the BDM Corporation on acquisitions, strategic alliances and enterprise growth. He held executive positions in the Washington Post Company's Legislate subsidiary and Thomson Financial's legal research business. He is also an entrepreneur that co-founded two information companies: MarketResearch.com and Federal Market Research Services.
Earlier in his career, George worked at the US Department of Commerce where he was involved with business lending, business advisory and counter-terrorism programs. He was a National Defense Education Fellow at New York University's Graduate School of Public Administration.
He is a lapsed scuba diver and a side-lined tennis player
