Lewis Barbe is a certified safety engineer and a member of numerous professional engineering associations. He belongs to the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers, and the System Safety Society, among many others. He has worked for Westinghouse Electric in Safety Engineering and Management positions, and has a background in design and product engineering management. He recently received Emeritus status with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
