I have been a Wikipedia editor since 2008. I mostly do copy editing and vandalism reverting. I live in Seattle, WA, USA, and am a PhD student in information science at the University of Washington's Information School.

I am currently working on an Individual Engagement Grant, Understanding the English Wikipedia Category System.

English usage preferences[edit]

LE-0 This individual still maintains a shred of dignity in this insane world by adhering to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitalization.
they This user considers singular they standard, modern, informal English usage, so avoids it on Wikipedia.
mankind This user supports the use of gender-neutral language.
y'all This user thinks y'all serves a useful purpose as a second-person plural pronoun, and would like to see y'all use it more often.
by The passive voice may be used by this user.

…in. Ending a sentence with a preposition is something that this user is okay with.
which & that This user joins with Dickens, Melville, and other great writers[1] in rejecting the canard that which may not be used for restrictive relative clauses.
English Singulars: "The data is..." This user recognizes that "data", "media", and "agenda" have become incorporated into English as singular nouns.
