(b. 1982 in McAllen, Texas) New to active editing. My Wikipedia interests hover around the humanities, gender studies, underrepresented populations (especially in the arts), posthumanism, critical theory, and Texas and the Texas-Mexico border (especially the Rio Grande Valley). I lean towards the interdisciplinary and the hybrid. Also very interested in issues around women and Wikipedia. My editing focus is often on cleaning up style and grammar to improve clarity. Pet peeves: the use of 'gender' when one means 'sex'and lazy rhetoric.

I am a poet, writing educator, artist, and nerdmom to a toddler forest ninja. Wikipedia plays a huge role in my creative process, and I presented on Wikipedia Poetics at the [Dis]embodied Poetics Conference at Naropa University (October 2014). Would love to connect with others who are interested in Wikipedia's intersection with creative practice.

I'm a graduate of Naropa and CalArts, and I make things in Berkeley, California.
