From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Photoelectrochemistry is the study of the interaction of light with electrochemical systems. It is active domain of investigation which combines photochemical and electrochemical methods for the study of the oxidation-reduction chemistry of the ground or excited states of molecules or ions.[1]. One of the pioneers of this field of electrochemistry was the german electrochemist Heinz Gerischer.
