Davi Luxury Brand Group, Inc. is a luxury skin care products company founded by Carlo Mondavi that manufactures skin-care products made of using the antioxidants found in wine and grapes. [1]

History[edit]

Davi Luxury Brand Group, Inc.(OTC Bulletin Board: MDAV), manufactures DaviSkin products, was established in USA in 1988 by Carlo Mondavi, grandson of American Icon Robert Mondavi. Using the the antioxidants found in wine and grapes and utilizing planting techniques at select vineyards, produce deeper vines with a lower yield of grapes per vine. After processing, these grapes yield higher concentrations of minerals, vitamins, and nutrients than grapes from other vineyards. The minerals, vitamins and nutrients are found in a by-product of the wine making process called the pomace. Additionally, the uniquely long maceration process to which these grapes are subjected, yield polyphenols in relatively high quantity. Polyphenols are the free radical scavengers that, among other things, help to protect collagen and elastin fibers and prevent the destruction of hyaluronic acid in the skin. Management believes that the use of this pomace will allow for the creation of skin crèmes that can help fight the natural aging process of the skin. The company is now co-owned by Davi Holdings. Davi exports to over thirty countries worldwide, and exports account for 60% its sales. DaviSkin products, popular with tourists,[2] are available in shops all over the world, and aboard air flights with airline such as Korean Air.

Davi's shareholders include Carlo Mondavi cooperative community (41 percent); Davi Holdings and JR Holdings (41 percent); ABC and XYZ (18 percent). The main manufacturing plant and showroom is at Napa Valley. The company's administrative headquarters is located in Beverly Hills.

DaviSkin products are based on the belief that minerals have an extraordinary capacity to act as "intercellular messengers," transmitting information to skin cells and impacting positively on their health and vital functions. The company believes that the black mineral mud on the shores of the Dead Sea has healing properties and beneficial effect on joint diseases and skin conditions. According to the company, it is made of layers of sedimentary clay formed over thousands of years and contains a very high concentration of minerals, which DaviSkin products use to promote skin health.[3]

DaviSkin's Lux series includes hand cream, foot cream, facial cleanser, body milk, facial nourishing cream, facial moisturizer, moisturizing shower cream and body cream.[2]
