My name is John Alexander Matheson. I ran for the Rhinoceros Party in the Canadian constituency of "York East" in the Province of Ontario in 1980. This is on the website of the Canadian House of Commons.

My father, Struan MacKay Matheson, was the City Editor for the Montreal Star in the 1960s. He broke the asbestosis story, and worked with Pierre Elliot Trudeau on several occasions.

I was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford, Stanford University, in Palo Alto, "California", both under the name of J.A.M. Dempster, At the time Dr. M. A. H. Dempster, the econometrician, was my stepfather. I also was educated at the "University of Toronto". I worked as a computer scientist and as a salesman. I also volunteered on 40 political campaigns for all of the major political parties of Canada and the Province of Ontario. I have paid my debts.
