July 2022

[edit]
  1. Graig Markel: nominated at AfD; notified Recoverysounds (talk · contribs) 05:52, 6 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article subject does not meet notability standards given the lack of sources available nor the other criteria per WP:COMPOSER. Article has been tagged as lacking citations and not meeting notability standards since 2016, yet issues remain unaddressed. Article creator has made no edits other than this article creation and has not addressed concerns. Prior PROD nomination was contested in 2016, little change made in terms of referencing or substantive content since then except to add one Seattle Times article which comes with the disclaimer of "PRODUCED BY SEATTLE TIMES MARKETING". Hence not independent.
  2. United States Distance Learning Association: nominated at AfD; notified Amlife (talk · contribs) 12:54, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Tagged as advertisement 13 years ago, previous PROD contest with no significant improvements and the issues tagged in 2009 remain unaddressed. The article subject does not meet the notability standards set out in WP:NCORP and deletion is right for the article as no editing can fix the quality of the article as no amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability.
  3. Schloss Gobelsburg: nominated at AfD; notified Vinoveritas22 (talk · contribs) 12:48, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Advertising masquerading as article, unfortunately not clearly enough for me to confidentiality nominate as G11. Has been tagged as advertising for 13 years without improvement. Also woefully lacking in notability and so does not meet WP:NCORP. As no editing can overcome a lack of notability in the absence of meeting another criteria, a clear case for delete.

September 2022

[edit]
  1. Steve Hall (comedian): nominated at AfD; notified SnookerLoopyOneFourSeven (talk · contribs) 07:05, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: WP:BEFORE check shows a lack of sources online or in books. Any coverage out there is almost entirely located in primary/non secondary sources that sell tickets to his performances. There is some incredibly minor routine coverage out there, but nothing more than a passing mention. Came across this while new page patrolling. Article has previously been deleted as an expired PROD - however as the deletion was not via discussion I could not nominate for the appropriate speedy delete. Ultimately, the lack of significant, in-depth coverage means meeting WP:GNG is not possible for the subject of this article and hence it should be deleted.
  2. Lara Sharma: nominated at AfD; notified Ghdfghmp (talk · contribs) 11:47, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Article subject has not been covered by significant coverage in multiple secondary sources independent of the subject. Article should hence be deleted as it does not meet Wikipedia’s general notability guideline.

October 2022

[edit]
  1. Thea Hail: nominated at AfD; notified Yulikey (talk · contribs) 08:10, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable WWE wrestler. Article contains only two primary references, one is from the WWE, and the other is just a database profile. Per NSPORT, wrestlers are classified as entertainers and not sportspeople. This WWE wrestler has not had significant roles in multiple notable films, TV shows, performances, or productions. Nor has she made unique, prolific or innovative contributions to a field of entertainment. There is also no significant coverage in any reliable, secondary sources. All sourcing I can find is linked directly to the sport of wrestling and routine in nature. There is no mention of this subject in any media not linked to her time at the WWE, and as wrestling is not a recognised sport for notability purposes, she fails both the applicable WP:ENTERTAINER criteria, and the general notability guideline which requires significant coverage in reliable secondary sources independent of the subject.
  2. Continental Wrestling Entertainment: nominated at AfD; notified Blueberrysrinivas (talk · contribs) 08:29, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This wrestling organisation does not meet the standard of notability set out in NCORP. This criteria states that significant coverage addressing the subject directly and in depth is required. Almost all sources both within the article and online contain only brief, passing mentions. Most sources available only briefly mention the name of the organisation in discussion of a wrestler currently associated with the organisation. There is no in depth coverage addressing Continental Wrestling Entertainment directly. Coverage often consists of quotes directly from the head of the organisation. Previous AFD has seen this deleted. Some minor improvement since, but insufficient to meet NCORP.
I should also point out that the username of the person who created this article is BlueberrySrinivas. Blueberry is a digital marketing agency, and the second part of the name links to an employee. I am assuming good faith given I have no evidence of undisclosed COI editing, and the editor denies having a COI. However I consider their response of "blueberry is my favourite fruit" to be insufficient insofar as assuaging my concerns that this is marketing for an organisation. The editor has made most of their other contributions to Wikipedia in the wrestling space using primary sources. While of course regardless of article quality, it should stay if sufficiently notable, I felt it appropriate to let contributors be aware of this factor in their decision.
This may also be suitable for a redirect to The Great Khali who founded this organisation. He is notable, however his company does not inherit his notability.

December 2022

[edit]
  1. Oklahoma Atheists: nominated at AfD; notified Tergiversant (talk · contribs) 01:01, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: No evidence that this organisation has attracted the notice of reliable sources unrelated to the organization. Some limited trivial mentions are floating around, but nothing significant. There is one brief mention in an old newspaper, but only a sentence not addressing the subject in depth and detail. This organisation hence does not meet notability criteria set out in NCORP/NORG.

January 2023

[edit]
  1. Mogilev Free Enterprise Zone: nominated at AfD; notified FEZ MOGILEV (talk · contribs) 09:36, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article was created by a user named "FEZ MOGILEV" which means the username almost matches the name of the article. It is entirely unreferenced. While there are brief, trivial mentions in several books none of these mentions constitute significant coverage that would warrant a standalone article per WP:GEO. Most media coverage is regarding other economic zones, rather than this one. There is an article on special economic zones, and there is simply no need for a stand alone article on individual zones. The article has been tagged for notability for 13 years yet only 400 bites of expansion have been made, and this is pretty much only other editors tagging the article. I cannot locate any significant coverage nor find any appropriate alternatives to deletion, hence I am nominating at AFD.

April 2023

[edit]
  1. Diving Equipment and Marketing Association: nominated at AfD; notified N2theBlueScubaDiving (talk · contribs) 03:23, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not appear to meet NCORP/NORG. No significant coverage by independent secondary sources. Routine announcements in trade/industry sources announcing shows or briefly mentioning the CEO. WP:SIRS not met.
  2. Razik Zarook: nominated at AfD; notified 311DRT (talk · contribs) 01:14, 28 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Nominating for deletion because I do not believe the sources within this article meet our notability guideline for biographies. Sources available do not discuss the article subject in significant depth. Coverage is routine. No evidence of significant coverage over a sustained period of time. Most sources within are primary. The Bloomberg source is just a profile, per NCORP such standard profiles are generally not counted towards notability for corporations and for the same reason I do not consider this one source to constitute notability for this otherwise non-notable lawyer. Entire article is written like a resume and whiffs of self-promotion. Was de-prodded without reason by the creator of the article (who has disclosed they are paid to edit Wikipedia) without any reason.

November 2023

[edit]
  1. Joann Hess Grayson: nominated at AfD; notified SHilhorst (talk · contribs) 08:54, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: No notability criteria is met. The article has no secondary sources independent of the subject and I cannot find them either. This person has no available secondary coverage elsewhere, so they do not qualify under WP:GNG or WP:ANYBIO. Further, they do not qualify under WP:ACADEMIC as their H-Index is 0 and the general consensus is that to qualify under the Academic guideline, am H-Index of 15+ is required.
