Michael Soussan is a writer based in Los Angeles. His first book, "Backstabbing for Beginners" was adapted to feature film starring Ben Kingsley and Theo James. His career spans jobs at CNN, K Street in Washington DC, the United Nations, intelligence consultancies and assignments in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Congo. A Frequent public speaker he has appeared as a commentator on CNN, the BBC, Fox News, SkyNews and a range of radio stations. He has been invited to testify before the House International Relations Committee and has briefed participants at a conference organized by the United States Central Command. He has also spoken at Johns Hopkins University the Harvard Club of New York the World Affairs Council, and The London School of Economics, among others. He has contributed articles to The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times/International Herald Tribune, Time Magazine's "Ideas" section online, The Week, The Washington Post Podcast. In his contributions to The Huffington Post he has focused exclusively on global women's rights issues, including in Africa and Afghanistan.
