Michelle Valentine is an Orlando based romance expert, author, advice columnist, speaker, and current host of the "Michelle Valentine TV Show". She is a twenty year veteran of the modeling, beauty, music and art industries, holding numerous credits, awards, and titles.
Valentine's modeling career includes traveling as a spokesmodel for Toyota at the North American International Auto Show, a national commercial for 7-Eleven, and in marketing for the Kroger supermarket chain. She was nominated as state semi-finalists for Miss Michigan USA and Miss Hawaiian Tropic International. She also worked as a "Bud Girl" representing Budweiser at state-wide promotions, and was the poster girl for the Mudweiser Monster Truck.
On television, Michelle Valentine started entertaining & educating the public as the teen TV Host of "Michelle's Craft Show", airing in [[Detroit]. She worked her way through college as a model, manicurist, and as a Cardeaux Cosmetics representative. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wayne State University.
Soon after beginning work in interior design, she went back into the TV industry, this time in the music business. She resumed her television career with "Offstage", a music entertainment TV show which won the "Best of Detroit" TV award. She was working & playing with all the international rock stars of the 90's (Metallica, Van Halen) at night, all the while coordinating fashion shows at yacht clubs during the day to promote her upscale retail store and salon.
Michelle Valentine went on to produce the "Michigan Shopping Network" until leaving the retail industry in 1997 when she relocated to Florida. With the massive singles population in Florida a new opportunity arose, and "Michelle Valentine" (registered trademarked name) was created. Michelle Valentine became the new owner of an international dating service, singles events company, online dating service, and advice columnist.
Over 100 of the "Dear Michelle Valentine" advice columns were published in the Orlando Sentinel, the Orlando Weekly, St. Pete Weekly, Orlando Me Magazine, and the East West Times. In 2000, Michelle Valentine published her first book, "How to Find Love Online", with book signings at Borders Books, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Florida libraries, the Southeast Booksellers Association, the Publishers Association of the South, and The Southern Women’s Show.
Simultaneously during her creation of the "Dear Michelle Valentine" advice column in 1997 - and putting years of TV hosting & producing experience to use - the "Michelle Valentine TV Show" premiered, and currently airs in Florida.
The Michelle Valentine TV Show created the beginning for Michelle Valentine to become a popular guest expert on other TV stations. She was flown to Hollywood to appear on National FOX TV, NBC, CBS, ABC and FOX affiliates, on Good Day Orlando, as well as dishing love & sex advice numerous times on radio stations such as BBC radio in London, England, WDBO, WJRR, WXXL, and “The Howard Stern Station” Real Radio WTKS, and also featured numerous times in fine magazines and newspapers around the world.
In her personal life, Michelle Valentine is an accomplished artist. While much of her work is is black & white abstract expressionism, she periodically uses color for more heart-warming effects, especially in her floral designs. As a professional Speaker, she is frequently traveling around the world conducting lectures aboard cruise ships for fine cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Princess, and Celebrity.
In December of 2008, Michelle Valentine sold her international dating service and continues her TV show, The Michelle Valentine TV Show.
