I work in public relations and marketing communications (since 1994), after four+ years as a newspaper journalist. I freelanced August 2008 through October 2010, working as writer, primarily in journalism, public relations, newsletter writing, internal communications and social media marketing. From 2010 through Jan. 3, 2017, I headed the corporate social media team for FCA US LLC before leaving to join Weaving Influence, a marketing communications agency.

Philosophy

My minor edits tend to follow AP Style. Overall, I believe PR and communication pros should tread honestly and factually when creating or editing articles on Wikipedia, but not be banned. Anyone who starts or edit an entry naturally has some interest -- even bias. Therefore, singling out a particular industry and not allow that industry to create or edit articles is an overreaction and myopic.

Among the Wikipedia entries I have edited are the Toledo Storm (past client & of personal interest), the Society of the Plastics Industry Inc. (past client), the famous Toledo, Ohio, natives section and added the West Toledo Herald newspaper in the newspaper section of the Toledo, Ohio article (personal interest). Do note that I live in Bedford Township, Monroe County, Michigan and have edited that page.
