R. Ramlagan—aka Snake, aka Snakeman, aka The Trini Scientist—has been around music since he was a little boy. It's only natural he would have become involved in the music industry and become one of Trinidad and Tobago's finest music producers. Currently specialising in Hip Hop, he started off making beats in 2002. He would sometimes add vocals to them for fun, which soon caught the attention of sound engineer Sean Poland, after they were introduced by a mutual friend at Caribbean Sound Basin. There Snakeman worked and trained for a short time alongside another one of Trinidad's finest musicians/singers/producers, Coreysan. Several months later Snake was pulled in by one of Trinidad's top producers, Carl Beaver Henderson, to do several Hip Hop demos for Sony.

Over the years Snake has been developing his skills to the point where he has become razor sharp. His sound is deep, dark and mysterious on some tracks, while some of his productions are uplifting and positive. Never sticking to one genre.

In 2008, Snake began releasing original tracks, the first being RUBEN AND TRISTAN PALMER - HARD TIMES, released on September11th, 2008. Ruben is a Trinidadian reggae recording artist and Tristan Palmer is a Jamaican legend known for his hit song, "Joker Smoker". "Hard Times" has done well, receiving airplay on many radio stations and in dancehalls around the globe within the first month of its release. It premiered on South African radio station Klub Kulcha and then went on to get airplay in the Cayman Islands, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, and many other countries.

In 2009, R. Ramlagan has begun to work with some of the most talented singers, rappers and chanters in Trinidad and internationally. To name a few from Trinidad and Tobago : Ruben, Hollo, Pternsky, Metric Man, Trakslasha, Nem Red, Krazy K (from KVA). As for foreign artists, Snake has produced an official remix for US rapper, Elee, titled "Oowee (Official Mo'Times Remix)", which the girls and guys have been loving. He has also just completed a dance track for Lx Seth from South Africa which will appear on Seth's album scheduled to be released in November 2009. The album is a tribute to the late, great Michael Jackson. In addition to this, Snakeman's brand new riddim, THE MADD WIKKED RIDDIM, features Lady Lee, a very talented reggae artist from the USA performing a very powerful song, Struggle.
