MCB Tower, Tallest in Pakistan


This list of tallest buildings in Pakistan, ranks skyscrapers by height in pakistan.The first highrise and the tallest building of pakistan was Habib Bank Plaza, in Karachi, which was built in 1963, it stands 101 meters tall and have 22 floors, however in 2005 MCB Tower is the same city overtake Habib bank plaza to become the tallest building in Pakistan. It stands 107 meters tall, only 6 meters taller then Habib bank plaza, and have 27 floors. Today alot of buildings are under construction in different cities of pakistan which are set to be taller than 100 meters.The tallest one is Icon tower under construction in Karachi, Mubarak centre in lahore, and Grand Hyatt in Islamabad, upon completion it will be a 5-star hotel it will be 217 meters tall.Another notable building is The Centaurus, which is currently under construction in Islamabad slated for completion induring next year, upon completion it will become Pakistan's first 7-Star hotel and worlds third 7-Star hotel, behind Burj Al Arab in Dubai, United Arab Emirates which was the first followed by Town House Galleria in Milan, Italy. Port Tower, currently Approved for construction in karachi will be a supertall skyscraper it will stand 593 meters(1,947 ft)tall with 117 floors, when completed the height of the tower will have special significance, it represents the independence year of Pakistan which is the year 1947.The Port Tower may well become the 6th tallest skyscraper in the world in 2020 if built.
