Well today is the Second day of me being on Wikipedia. As always if you have any questions or concerns please go to my Talk Page. I'm always available.

Today I would talk about the subject of Tech Support Scams and how it is used today.

Originate and What they Use:

Represents the Telemarketers. They have been online since 2008.

Over the past 9 years, technical support scams have been expanding since 2008 with people complaining about seeing the fake pop-ups on their computer. When the pop up occurs they will have a phone number to call them to (so be called) help clean your PC. They use these programs called LogMeIn, TeamViewer and other types of programs to get access to the users computer. Some of these you can see the I.P Address and you can look these I.P Addresses up on Google to see where they are from and there location. These Tech Support Scams originated in India but some of them are in the U.S. Some of them would make excuses for the users saying that they live in America but when in reality they live somewhere in India. These Scams are somewhat still alive today and they tend to be very suspicious.

Solution:

There are a couple ways to combat this and that is to press and hold Windows Key and R. Doing that will pop up the Run box. Now type in Taskmgr in the box and press Enter, that will open up the Task Manager to where you can end the process. That should end the process and kick them out of your PC. After when you do that you would want to download an antivirus like Avast, MalwareBytes, Hitman Pro or any other programs to help clean your PC.
