I was wondering how my edit was more than neutral I didn't mean to offend anyone. I'm sorry if I did. — Preceding unsigned comment added by InfiniFighter (talkcontribs) 00:54, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi InfiniFighter! Thanks for leaving me a message! The reason for my message was because of this edit, where you add commentary and opinion regarding the units in the game. Remember that we must remain neutral; if a reference talks about its weakness, you can cite it and talk about how reviewers called the unit weak (just to give you an idea). But no harm done; we were all new once! Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Happy editing! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:57, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Changing the Article 'Annexation of Goa' to the 'Liberation of Goa'

Unless the change is made the article itself is inherently biased towards the occupying Portuguese forces, thereby qualifying it as a constructive change. Goa has and will always be an integral part of India, and the article itself reflects this through the sections detailing the liberation and independence movements that occurred both before, during, and after the necessary military action undertaken by the Indian Forces. There is nothing more to add.

If your reversion of my edits was a mistake, please try out the 'sandbox' before changing it again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.43.29.24 (talk) 01:41, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Urbana High School

If you were wondering about the changed I did on the Urbana High School Page, I fixed the category problem since the school actually opened in 1995, not 1996 because it says on the page that the school was established in 1995. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Idiotboyxbox360 (talkcontribs) 02:08, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

please stop reverting/flagging me

Hi Oshwah, please stop reverting and flagging my pages. They are legit. I am an instructor for the class Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Penn State Brandywine/Language and Thought (Summer 2016). I am making pages on my students user pages/sandboxes for them to complete projects with. You also reverted my own user page for some reason I'm not sure of. Please let me know if you have any questions. yEvb0 (talk) 02:24, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

yEvb0 - Alright, my friend. You're all set. Everything should be back to where it was before my stupidity managed to mess it up. Thank you so much for letting me know ASAP. I'm extremely sorry about that, man. I deal with a lot of vandalism, and some accounts do leave mass spam on user talk pages. You just happened to be a huge false positive. If there's anything I missed, or if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know. Again, I feel extremely bad about this and I owe you a big one. :-( ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:35, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

I am NOT vandalizing wikipedia pages - I am adding FACTUAL INFORMATION that is being intentionally deleted by Wikipedia people with FAKE non-human names I added one comment BACK to Kshama Sawant's page based on publicly verifiable facts. change.org petition and other info available on the web. Call Kshama herself and she will VERIFY it. There is anti-bernie sanders bias sentiment happening in these edits by pro KKKlinton individuals and I have to INSIST that it stop. I can report it to the Bernie campaign office and then you'll be all over the news AND have to reveal their REAL names and connections. Thanks, Jax

HI

Hi, I have a question about the self balancing scooter, why did you revert my content while the information I provided is the fact and would be helpful to the community?

Hi Oshwah, just to inform you that my information on Ibinabo is accurate. She contested in 1991 Miss Nigeria pageant (not 1998) and was first runner up to the winner, Bibiana Ohio. She also contested in a pageant called Miss Wonderland in 1990 and she was the 2nd runner up for Nike Oshinowo in MBGN pageant in 1992. Edit history (see this diff as an example) indicates the IP is either a sockpuppet, or a coached meatpuppet. Humorously, the information they are attempting is wrong even by the standards of Kyle's autobiographical claims - before the actual, authoritative military records were released Kyle had claimed 5 Bronze Stars, the authoritative military records show only 3, the IP is claiming SIX... Do you think it's worth time asking someone to Checkuser them, Oshwah? Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz (talk) 04:29, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

hello

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Berbers with this edit, without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:47, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits to Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Berbers with this edit, even if you intend to fix them later. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:51, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Brahim213. The reason I reverted your changes here was because you appear to have removed references without explaining why using an edit summary, and made unreferenced modifications. I reverted your edit here because it appeared to be a test (or maybe just an accident). If you believe that your changes are correct, I think that this may warrant a discussion on the article's talk page so that other editors can collaborate on your proposed changes. Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:22, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

You made a mistake by claiming that my edit wasn't "constructive", on the article Terry Bean. If you want people to take your claims seriously, you need to fully explain why you are trying to revert material and why it isn't "constructive", in your opinion. I will restore this material, anticipating that you will not be able to explain why my edits weren't "constructive". Please do not proceed with an edit war against me. 67.5.251.135 (talk) 06:48, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Cookies for Santa

Wikipedia is indeed an educational place - you made me look up the American tradition of leaving cookies out for Santa Claus, which I'd never heard about! (In Sweden and several other northern European countries, kids don't need to leave anything for Santa, because he comes a-knocking on the door himself on Christmas Eve, asking if there are any well-behaved children in the house, and handing over the presents in person.) It confused me a little at first because I forgot that your Santa comes in through the chimney and so the cookies are presumably left indoors and eaten by the parents when they place the gifts... the closest tradition we have here is when people living on farms used to leave a bowl of rice pudding for the tomte at Christmas so he wouldn't leave the farm, and that offering would be left outside. Anyway, thanks! :-D --bonadea contributions talk 06:59, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Bonadea! Yeah, ours is an obese gentleman who drinks coca-cola and somehow can fit down chimneys (even though though you have the fire running) and puts toys under a tree that you go into the woods and cut down. You bet! Thanks for helping out with that article; it made dealing with that situation less of a challenge ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 07:04, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Content work

I just stubbed:

Feel free to expand those if you are looking for content work. I plan to expand them in the next few days, but you are welcome to them. Such species articles are very easy add content to, unlike crabs or spiders or insects, which have complicated body parts. Also, I gave you two at IRC. Anyhow, if you don't like those, consider other species you can find by shopping via taxoboxes. Lots of stubs, plentiful RS, good, solid encyclopedia building. Cheers. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:40, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Anna Frodesiak - What I'm going to do is create/expand some technology-related articles. If I'm going to do some content creation, it should definitely be something I'm interested in, even if it means that the task will be more challenging (which is actually better). There are great suggestions, though (and very nice stubs, if I may say so myself ;-)). Keep on me; I need to and I will do some creation. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:11, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
Tech, eh? Okay! Sounds good. And not so nice stubs. I'll fill them out. Always do. Say, I'll make you a deal. You turn your TOC into non-collapse and I'll give you two poutines, a painting of a chair, and an earth sample from Idaho. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:36, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Anna Frodesiak, lol what's wrong with my TOC being collapsed by default? It tends to get long very quickly, so I thought it would be more convenient for readers if it was out of the way by default. Do you feel differently? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:41, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

SarekOfVulcan - Just got your revert notification -- I remember this. So, I thought this was a troll due to this message being similar to another user that was trolling. But looking back on this user's contributions, I can clearly see that this is just someone who is angry (and is probably just pushing a POV) but not the same person as the other user that was trolling. So, you're right; definitely not vandalism as you said. I apologize; I saw similar messages on other people's talk pages (that were trolls) that included incivility and out-right harassment, and I thought that this was one of them. For the record, I do know the difference between trolling and anger, frustration, and incompetence and they are not the same. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:03, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Reversion: The Outcasts (Brotherband)

[Sorry I screwed up and forgot to add a title] Hi Oshwah,

You recently (as in 2 minutes ago :p) reverted my edits to The Outcasts (Brotherband), indicating that it appeared to be a test of editing. However, I added correct punctuation that made the sentence structure grammatically correct. If there is something in particular that I did wrong, please tell me and I can correct that. However, some of the sentences simply did not make sense in that form so I added punctuation (commas, hyphens) that cleared it up. Also, there is a part in that page where there are two consecutive periods. It was there before my edits, but I only realized it now, and I don't want to change it myself as it may appear that I am ignoring your message by reverting my edits. Thanks and sorry! Markus1463 (talk) 01:40, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Markus1463! I know what happened! I struck the keyboard shortcut twice and accidentally reverted the edit (your change) after the one I intended to. I've restored your changes back to the article, and I apologize for the confusion. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Thanks for letting me know about this, and happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:43, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Your revert of my contribution, "because did not appear constructive"

Information icon Hello, I'm Logicalgenius3. I wanted to let you know that I am going to revert one of your recent reverts of my contribution done by you, "because it did not appear constructive" of 01:22, 2 June 2016  —the one you made with this edit and the previous one to Art Nouveau— because your revert was not constructive and thus in violation of VAN (Blanking) and - subsequently - of OWN, as only an introductory knowledge of the subject would inform that my edits corrected many obvious errors and also added missing languages of countries significant to the subject to show the actual distribution of the terminology. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think you made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.--Logicalgenius3 (talk) 02:25, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Qwerty10131888 - The reason that the article was deleted was because it met the criterion for speedy deletion of people, in that the article did not assert or discuss why the person was significant. The content you added has nothing to do with the college self. If the app has notability, it should have its own article, not significant content on another article to the point that the article becomes mostly about something else. If you have any questions, please let me know. I'll be happy to answer them. Cheers -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 07:33, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Please don't close unblock requests

Oshwah, you are not an admin, so please don't respond to unblock requests. Let the administrator do it. And also, WP:DENY applies to Supreme Genghis Khan. TheCoffeeAddict talk|contribs 08:45, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

TheCoffeeAddict, I've been told by a couple administrators that my declining of unblock requests in clear cases is okay with them. Our administrators are very backlogged at times, and I'd rather SNOW those so that they don't waste their precious time towards things such as this. However, I will say that in this very case, the unblock request should have just been reverted instead of declined (per WP:DENY). ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:51, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi

Hi Sorry I think I made mistake. I also want to ask you. Can you create a profile for one of business person in Bulgaria ?

Regards David

Lisa Sparxxx

It wasn't a mistake. Can you change it back? It's relevant to the person and the article and was in the intro for many years until removed by a user claiming to be Sparxxx. They were not and took every opportunity to stop anyone editing "their" page. I definitely think it's a fact worth being in the intro as it shows why this particular person is well-known. It's, well, encyclopedic. 2601:204:C203:9240:90EF:93E0:17F8:7244 (talk) 12:56, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

I should also point out that fact I added is IN the article later. But it should be in the intro as again, it's why this individual is noteworthy. 2601:204:C203:9240:90EF:93E0:17F8:7244 (talk) 12:58, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Again, it is sourced later in the article. Intros are for noteworthy accomplishments, titles, etc. This would be all of that. It's completely constructive. 2601:204:C203:9240:90EF:93E0:17F8:7244 (talk) 13:00, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Please review recent WP:AIV report

The helper-bot cleaned things up too hastily! I’d like you to reconsider my recent report [1] regarding XtraTacoman (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). You said “edits are not vandalism”, but I ask that you review the diffs for all four contributions. The one with the edit summary “noticed a spelling error of alan turing” is indeed a correction, but of their previous edit to change “Turing” to “Tubing”. The other two edits add “Hey there Danny ;)”, and change “Turing” to “Turtwig”. I see an editor that is WP:NOTHERE. Thanks if you can take the time to reconsider. Cheers. Willondon (talk) 13:48, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Oops, I thought you had admin rights. What I've done is just resubmitted the report. I hope you agree that it shouldn't be flagged as "edits are not vandalism". Cheers. Willondon (talk) 14:23, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi Willondon! You know, now that I look at it again, I should have used a different response template or not have placed one on your report at all. I apologize; I perhaps thought that the user was simply edit testing a random word, but I clearly see now that this was not the case. I appreciate you for bringing this to my attention; this helps me to keep alert and diligent with each of my responses, reverts, warnings, etc and to not let my guard down as far as being careful. It's very easy to cross the line and into the mode of going too fast and not giving each recent change the careful review that it deserves. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 19:54, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

(page stalker) No, Wikipedia isn't considered a reliable source for Wikipedia, because that would mean WP is vouching for itself. Question

In the past I vandalized a lot and was very rude on Wikipedia. I have a question. I was blo led for three months and the block ended today. Before I vandalized a lot and I mean a lot. Now I want to change and build an encyclopedia. I want to redeem my ways and turn myself around. My question is "am I allowed to keep editing?" Do I now have to stop editing from Wikipedia. You are probably thinking, "Why should I believe him?" Please Oshwah. Please trust me. I SWEAR I will never vandalize again. Please get back to me A.S.A.P and tell me if I can edit constructive again. I will respect your decision no matter what. Sincerely, 47.20.214.217 (talk) 21:39, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

(page stalker) I don’t know if you can edit constructively now, but you’re free to try with the IP 47.20.214.217. It’s not a personal thing, Wikipedia admins just block IP addresses where needed to prevent vandalism. That IP is unblocked now, Wikipedia keeps rolling along, and if there’s a problem in the future, history will just repeat itself. Have at ‘er, and good luck. Article from my watchlist that's getting problematic and I won't be able to react seasonably

Kindly see Rosalind Brewer. A range of dynamic long IP addresses were on a spree of WP:SOAPBOXery a while back and forgot about it, and I think they popped up again about an hour ago. I honestly haven't thought about whether there's sockpuppetry here because this has been on, you know, my "non-top-of-mind" watchlist subset. But I'm going to be out of easy vandalism-fighting hardware equipage for a few days, and I fear this is the beginning of another preoccupied salvo. Could you please keep your good watchful eye on this, and/or spread the word among your comparable compadres? (For the record, I haven't set foot in a Walmart in over 20 years, but if I had ever borne a daughter she would very likely have been named "Rosalind," and this is why Wikipedia needs INFP editors along with the INTJs...) Thanks, O.! Stay cool! Julietdeltalima (talk) 00:55, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Julietdeltalima - I'm more than happy to step in and keep a fresh pair of neutral eyes on this article. Looking at the history page, there has definitely been some problematic edits in the past (many of which that I, actually, reverted... haha). Things appear to be somewhat under control right now, but I'll be happy to keep watch for you. It sounds like you're going to be traveling. If so, have a safe travel and I hope it because you're doing something fun or good. I'll see you when you get back! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:46, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Julietdeltalima - Oh, and I also went ahead and warned the IP who added the content you just reverted there. ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:52, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Much obliged! not sure how I missed that! I'm going to be hanging for 48 hours with a bunch of dear folks I haven't been in the same place with in 25 years and hope any Wikipedia time from here through Monday is purely for aide-memoire purposes regarding blissfully bygone popular history! Take care! - Julietdeltalima (talk) 20:38, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Adding sold out dates to MMXVI World tour.

Hello Oshwah. I was adding information to Wikipedia regarding sold out shows on the MMXVI world tour page, but you told me my post wasn't constructive. I have references, they are news sources such as www.cincinatti.com (regarding the ticket sales of their Cincinnati performance). There are many holes in the ticket sales column of the tour dates box. It would be nice to flesh this out with the info. What exactly is the problem here? Article "And the Wife Shall Revere Her Husband"

Hi Oshwah!

Thank you for the response! I changed movie's title, cause creators took it from bible's quotes (I think from Ephesians Chapter 5:20-33) (Original quote in Greek "ἡ δὲ γυνὴ ἵνα φοβῆται τὸν ἄνδρα") I search the original bible's quote and it is "but the woman should revere her husband". Said woman, not wife. Also word "And" at the begging fails to ascribe the exact meaning of the quote! Not important detail though. I tried to make a little improvement to the article. Excuse moi, I am not an advance editor yet! Thanks again for your response. pouspoul — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pouspoul (talkcontribs) 02:20, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Removal of false information

"In 1971, Nizami was chief of infamous Al-Badr militia.[20] Along with Pakistan army, this militia prepared a plan to abduct and kill Bengali intellectuals. They have massacred lots of professors, journalists, litterateurs, doctors and pro-liberation people.[21][22]"

Hello I removed the above few misleading lines from the page of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motiur_Rahman_Nizami. Because the information is wrong. There was obviously a military-led group called Al Badr. But Nizami was not the chief of this organization. Nizami was a non-military person and leader of a student organization. The people those who blame this against him are doing falsely just for political reasons. Those are not true at all. Then why should this wrong information exist in Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johirbuet (talkcontribs) 03:16, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi i saw your reverts there. What is going on there? Also, is it ok to copy paste material from other articles? TheDwellerCamp (talk) 03:28, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

TheDwellerCamp - I'm reverting his removal of content, and I think he's confused and believes that his reversion of my changes is also removing the content... I think? I'm super confused as well when I look at his edit summaries... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:42, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

TheDwellerCamp - Hey, as long as his edits are good and he's trying to build an article, I'm a totally happy man. His edit summaries just threw me off. Even after I reverted myself thinking oh, it's probably just huge re-construction, maybe. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:51, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

TheDwellerCamp - Sure, do it up my fiend :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:54, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
Oshwah, i'll give it a week. and review it later. Although, the copying from articles kind of bothers me. Is there some kid of rule against that?TheDwellerCamp (talk) 04:03, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
TheDwellerCamp - No, there isn't a rule against re-using things. So long as it's relevant to the article you're re-using content from, and that the article isn't similar to the other. Obviously it depends, and there are exceptions either way. But good faith re-use doesn't strike me as something deeply concerning, no. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:06, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
of course, good faith. In that case, I'll just be happy with the edits then. TheDwellerCamp (talk) 04:09, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

What is the styling of dates?

Im writing this when i noticed List of conflicts in Angola. For example in the section of List of conflicts in Angola#Kingdom of Kongo, there is excessive use of C.E., which is common era. This would suggest an academic background with regards to history-related fields. Would that be necessary? TheDwellerCamp (talk) 04:08, 3 June 2016 (UTC)

Top Gear Controversies

Hello Oshwah,

I'm replying to you regarding the reversion of my edit to the Top Gear Controversies page. I had changed "on account of" to "for the fact that it was." Although "on account of" is a common idiom, it didn't sound right to me in the context of an encyclopedic article. I am unclear, however, on how the change in wording affected the page's neutrality. The edit may have changed the flow of the sentence slightly, but it did not change the sentence's meaning or introduce any bias.

Could you explain your decision in more detail?

Thanks,

(page stalker) I assume you refer to this edit here. [2] Wikipedia is a group effort, and there’s no need for special qualifications to edit it. Please see the article at Wikipedia:Ownership of content. You, me and he all have equal access to making changes. Oshwah didn’t explain in his edit summary, but I would have reverted it as “not an improvement”. The phrase “tells her slangs” doesn’t mean anything to me, a native speaker of English, and I don’t know the word “culcrate”, although if it is actually a word, it is surely conjugated as “he culcrates her”. In short, the language can’t be understood as English, and it doesn’t improve the article. That may be a hard blow to the ego, but you’ll find the ego is the first thing that needs to go if you’re going to have a pleasant and productive time editing Wikipedia. Please don’t take things personally. Cheers. Willondon (talk) 19:15, 4 June 2016 (UTC)

The content you removed cites various sources regarding the unknown birth date. You replaced it with a claim that might be 100% true, but it isn't verified by published secondary sources. It can be very annoying when you know what the truth is, but Wikipedia can't include it. Wikipedia sacrifices 100% truth in favour of knowledge that can at least be traced to reliable sources. Your witness to Liston's birth would be very interesting to an historian interested in his biography, someone who publishes research on the topic. Wikipedia just isn't set up to handle original research, so it relies on reporting what other people say, who have gone to the trouble of checking facts and building a reputation for reliability. I'm sorry that you'll likely be disappointed in this explanation of Wikipedia, but like the sea monkeys, it's not quite as awesome as it looks in the ad. Willondon (talk) 19:55, 4 June 2016 (UTC)

Kevin Matthews (American football)

I'm reverting your edits, because you and Kevboy11 deleted valid content to put information about a person with no references at all, that is named Kevin Matthew (Not even Kevin Matthews) and that plays soccer not American football. If you want to keep your information, you can create an article name Kevin Matthew and put it there.Makers267 (talk) 16:56, 4 June 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Makers267: Looking at that page's history, Kevboy11 was the one who inserted the false information. When an IP editor went to remove that false info, they didn't re-insert the correct info at the same time, and Oshwah reverted the IP because it apparently looked to him like the IP was simply removing valid info without a good reason. I don't think Oshwah was aware that the page had previously been vandalized before he reverted the IP's removal of info. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 17:04, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi Makers267, A guy saved by Jesus - Yes, it appears that vandalism was added earlier. I was just confused with the removal due to the lack of an edit summary. Thanks to you both for catching this and letting me know. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:37, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Joseph Bowers

I recommend that this article be deleted. With due respect to Joe Bowers, he's notable only for being the first man to try and escape from Alcatraz, and that doesn't warrant a separate article. I recommend that it could be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.254.56.213 (talk) 11:31, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

Edits to Leaky Gut Syndrome

Osway--I am attempting to edit the Leaky Gut Syndrome page because the original author is biased, and is not presenting a balanced view. Just because this doesn't fit traditional medical opinion does not mean that it is "psuedoscience". Alternative medicine is not psuedoscience. If you're saying that I'm the one making it MORE biased, you really need to look at and understand the original writer's work.

If this is what happens in my first edit on Wikipedia, I will never contribute again.

(page stalker) The original author/writer has no special privilege with the article. What you are seeing is the result of collaborative effort from many editors. This link [4] will show you the history of editing. It's a shame to see a first edit rebuffed, and the editor get frustrated, because Wikipedia is always looking for good editors. Unfortunately, it can be a tough slog for a new editor to learn the ropes, and have their edits stick. If you're up for the challenge, the best tip I can give you is that successful edits come from discussions on the talk page. The talk page for Leaky gut syndrome is the recognized place for all of us to hash out disagreements about the article content. Cheers. Willondon (talk) 01:36, 7 June 2016 (UTC)
I agree with Willondon. If there are disagreements or if you believe that there are issues with bias or misinformation currently on the article, you should discuss this on the article's talk page. This will start a discussion about the article and give other editors the ability to look into your thoughts and contribute to them. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:42, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Leaky Gut Sydrome

Oswah--Never mind, I am not going to fight to try to edit that article; you've already decided it's psuedoscience, and you've got the power. What's the point? Even Wikipedia recognizes that Wikipedia is biased. Enjoy having a slated, biased, traditional medicine article in place that was written by some grouchy doctor with a bone to pick. Not my job. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Les5889 (talkcontribs) 01:23, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

Wiki page for Mahmud al-Muntasir

Hello,

I recently attempted to edit/contribute a line of information on to the Mahmud al-Muntasir (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmud_al-Muntasir) Wiki page. The addition read: "He is the great-grandfather of American Journalist Mola Lenghi." The edit was denied because it was not sourced. Understandable. I am Mola Lenghi. Mahmud al-Muntasir was my great-grandfather. His daughter, Souad al-Muntasir married my grandfather Abdelmawla Lenghi. Their son, Issam Lenghi, is my father. Perhaps not ideal but I am a first-hand source. Does this meet your criteria?

Thank you for considering and for properly maintaining what is a very important page to me and my family.

Deletion of Taylor Lianne Chandler

Sarahj2107 deleted Taylor Lianne Chandler based on false information on the page from vandalism. The photo from an appearance on Howard Stern was deleted in the same manner. In the history you will see the page was repeatedly vandalized and protected numerous times. The reason for deletion is false and could have been easily verified through the original content on the page and verified citations. Please restore my page to its content before the vandalism and add back the photo that was deleted and protect my page yet again. Not sure why Sarahj2107 did this. Please help me. I'm verified across social media as a public person www.facebook.com/TaylorLianneChandler Been in numerous magazines newspapers and tv to this day. Mullan/Legal

:Biographies of living persons ("BLPs") must be written conservatively and with regard for the subject's privacy. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a tabloid: it is not Wikipedia's job to be sensationalist, or to be the primary vehicle for the spread of titillating claims about people's lives; the possibility of harm to living subjects must always be considered when exercising editorial judgment. This policy applies to any living person mentioned in a BLP, whether or not that person is the subject of the article, and to material about living persons in other articles and on other pages, including talk pages.[3]. The mentioning of a civil lawsuit to which Mullan was not a party, and only a witness, falls into the category of "titillating claim", regardless of a written court "opinion. Deleting that content was being nice, given the contributions the man has made to human kind. You trying to insure that the content remains is not nice. Adlene Guedioura height

Dear Oshwah,

You have (automatically?) reverted my change about the height of soccer player Adlene Guedioura. He is in no way 1.86m (even though he/someone has recently managed to include that into "official" statistics).

Actually, many sources credit him as being 1.78m (https://www.google.com/search?q=1.78m%20%22guedioura%22&start=0&rct=j).

To prove my point, I can show you this picture: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/02/07/256F719400000578-2943890-image-a-104_1423329569272.jpg where Guedioura is clearly smaller than Wilfried Zaha (who's 1.80m).

What should I do to have my change accepted?

Yours sincerely,

Actarus2805 (talk) 02:18, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Actarus2805. The reason I reverted your change was because it removed a reference and replaced the person's height without citing a reference. If you want to change something like this on a biography of a living person, you need to cite a reference that is reliable. Please let me know if you have questions regarding the Wikipedia guidelines I provided you here. I'll be happy to answer them. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs)

Not sure what the issue is on the Clinton Sexual Misconduct Allegations articles. I just added a reference to his affair with Jennifer Flowers, which is well-sourced. Adultery is a type of sexual misconduct. For example, it is a criminal offense in 20 some states and is a grounds for divorce in almost all states. How could this be NOT CONSTRUCTIVE? In addition, an Allegation exists in two states. There is an an unproved allegation and a Proved allegation. Flowers is a Proven allegation. Also, this discussion should be part of the Talk on the Article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.56.194.3 (talk) 02:20, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Hello Oshwah -

In the Allan Quatermain entry, a citation was requested about the name Quatermain often being misspelled and I gave a perfectly fine one. That was a few days ago. Today it has been removed. That does not bode well for my recent important well-cited entries noting how Uncle Scrooge was a precursor of Indiana Jones. I decided that rather than wait on the edge of my seat waiting for some editor to remove those remarks, I decided to remove them myself. Also the same thing goes for the list of Indiana Jones ---Novelizations and Novels--- that I also added. No doubt some editor would come along and say the list is redundant of Indiana Jones franchise. Bottom line: I do not have the temperment to be a Wikipedia contributor. Best Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.100.33.118 (talk) 04:10, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

I got a bunch of reverts on the Clinton Sexual Misconduct page. All these edits were minor factual corrections or adding additional references. For example Katheen Willey did not allege groping in 2015, she did it 1998. Trip did not say the Willey encounter was concensual, only that Willey was excited and happy about it (left that part in). When Starr declined to move forward with this allegation, I added the Appendix B reference where he and the OIC outlined this decision and why they made it. I added a a few Wiki Links where these individuals already have Wiki pages or where Terms were defined. To me all this seemed like good improvements. In my comments on each Edit I described what was being done.

What is the issue here? Would you prefer these edits go into the Talk page first for group review? If you want to revert this class of edits my preference would be do so and note the reason on the Talk Page. Then the issue can be discussed by the various Wikipedia Editors and a decision made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.56.194.3 (talk) 05:37, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Lewinsky Scandal

The "Collateral Scandals" section is of no relevance to the article. It is sensationalist and only relevant if Clinton was legally threatened by his act of sexual impropriety. He was not, and therefore it does not matter whether or not other politicians were accused of sexual impropriety. The section only exists to indite those who claimed that Clinton perjured himself, an act which none of the people cited were accused of. Relevance should be limited to those who both A) participated in an act of sexual impropriety, and B) were accused of perjury for denying said sexual impropriety in a court of law. No example represented in the "Collateral Scandals" section falls into both of those categories. Clinton's own sexual impropriety is not the subject of the controversy-- rather, it is the fact that he lied about it in a court of law. If a "Collateral Scandals" section is to exist, it should include only those who experienced a similar situation. Simply having an extramarital affair should not qualify unless the politician accused of this act also perjured his or herself in court. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:91D1:8F00:0:0:0:3 (talk) 06:48, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

If your claims are true, then your edits represent a conflict of interest, which is highly discouraged behavior on Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:21, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
How is it a conflict of interest if people are ruining the show a year in advanced because they want to post spoilers when they have signed NDA's. Why can we not change that especially if those personal that we are trying to remove do not work for us it is just fan hearsay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:C5A3:2060:91E:70DB:2AF3:CC69 (talk) 02:27, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
That sounds dangerously close to a Legal threat. I'd suggest not doing that any more. SQLQuery me! 02:29, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi again! Did you read the conflict of interest guideline I provided for you? It's because you claim to be working for the company, which is a clear conflict of interest. Perhaps you should focus on improving content elsewhere, if your goal is to help build the encyclopedia. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:31, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Also, if the content is an issue with your company, you should contact the Wikimedia Foundation Legal Team at legal@wikimedia.org - they will be able to properly assist you with your particular issue. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:34, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
No threat at all that is just ridiculous. We are just trying to keep the page current to what is on Television right now as of episode 59, and keep rumors that fans create off of the wiki page. There are people on the personal page that are not even on the roster. And events with incorrect dates that will not ever air. Thank You for the extra info Mr.Oshwah we will look into that. Thanks again.
Always happy to help! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:51, 9 June 2016 (UTC)

Changes to the MIC article

The MIC (Myanmar Investment Commission) was recently reconstituted by the new government on 8th June 2016 with reduction to the number of members from 16 to 11 as reported by the Myanmar President's Office. In addition to members being reduced, the Commission was absorbed into the Ministry of "Planning and Finance" since the new government combined the two former ministries of "National Planning and Economic Development" and "Finance". Why I can't make this edition

I am one of the " iraqi professional player website " members .. so why i can't make that edition? Mahmoudshaker90 (talk) 01:38, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Mahmoudshaker90 - There are a few issues with your changes. I thought that one of your changes was an editing test; this is obviously not the case and I apologize for the misunderstanding in that regard. The changes you made were unreferenced, and based off your message here, they look to constitute original research and a conflict of interest. These problems combined will draw concerns from other editors in regards to the changes you've made. I highly recommend that you review the guidelines that I've linked to you here, and please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about them. I'll be happy to answer them and assist you. Thanks for leaving me a message with your concerns, and I wish you happy editing. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:42, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Emma (wrestler) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
As this is simply not a blanket removal, I think User:Dwdpuma is disputing the VenEmma as a move. I think it's time to take this to dispute resolution. I'm warning him with this same template. Please don't revert unless he blanks the whole section or page. wL<speak·check> 02:48, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) For someone who has been here as long as you have must know that he was reverting vandalism and that is an exception to the 3RR rule. --Majora (talk) 02:50, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
@Majora:: But I don't think this is vandalism. Otherwise, I would have reported him to WP:AIV. But if you think this is vandalism, go ahead and send him to it. --wL<speak·check> 02:52, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
@WikiLeon: Few things. Oshwah already did report to AIV. And I support that. Pings don't work if you fix them. You have to redo them completely (new line, new template, new signature) if it doesn't go though the first time. Also, Oshwah knows full well what our policies are. Edit warring is one of the last things they would do. Templating the regulars instead of just politely writing out your concerns is a little rude. --Majora (talk) 02:56, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
(edit conflict) -- twice. @Majora: I saw his contribs, and based on this edit to Alexa Bliss, he's here not to contribute. Report away. PS. I don't mind being templated. --wL<speak·check> 02:59, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

Oakwood, Montgomery County, Ohio

hey oshwah

I figured it'd be good to link to the large and growing page on Brock Turner. This is a current event that many would like to investigate. Turner's hometown is mentioned on his page, and he is mentioned on the Oakwood page as well. My edit constructively gives context to this high-profile current event. I also referenced two other notable residents of Oakwood from history. This page did not have a Notable people page until I created it. Your deletion was excessive.

Hi,

I would like to point out few corrections in the Wikipedia page on Barbarika.

1. Krishna's question "how many days he would take to finish Mahabharata war alone". Here you are including Kauravas as well. Karna, Bheeshma and few more you mentioned are Kauravas 2. TheDwellerCamp, or should I say Winterysteppe... I'm disappointed, my man. I know that you made a mistake, you're kicking yourself over it, and that you wish things can just go back to before that decision to do what you did. But repeatedly creating sock puppet accounts, as you've been confirmed doing numerously and continuously, will only disconnect you further and further from Wikipedia, not draw you closer to it. You were an excellent editor... Hello,

you deleted my message on the Adrian Romay-Habsburg page. Maybe you better delete the hole article about this person, because there is no such person. The last spanish habsburg died 1700. He hasn't the Order of the Toisón of Gold. The sources link to articles without relation to the habsburgs (1,2) or to this person (3). etc. etc. Check out Order of the Toisón of Gold. Look up the Almanach de Saxe Gotha for all living habsburgs. There is no romay-habsburg.

Image help

Hi again Oshwah, Is there a way to change the dimensions of an image, for example widening it or squishing it? Or is an image only changeable proportionately? Thank you very much! NikolaiHo 23:17, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Nikolaiho! It's good to see you again! I apologize for taking so long to respond to your question here; I've been very busy lately. As far as I know, there isn't a way to override or distort an image's size and stretch it to custom dimensions. The MediaWiki software will keep the image in proportion to its native ratio and dimensions; you can certainly set how large or how small the image is, as well as which side of the page that it floats on. This picture tutorial lists the different ways that you can use the template and insert images into pages. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. I'll be happy to answer them and assist you with anything that you need. It's good to run into you again, and I hope you're doing well. Hi Eagleash! Thanks for leaving me a message with your question. I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. My personal and work life became very busy over the last two weeks, and I'm finally catching up with my talk page messages now. It looks like Bisterne Dragon and Bisterne are fine; they appear to be about different subjects but contain similarities as far as content and relation go. I checked both pages for copyright violations and issues, and they both appear to check out. So long as the content is referenced where necessary and relevant to the article subject, I don't see an issue here. If you have any more questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know. I'll be happy to give you a hand. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi; feel free to do that any time you like. Cheers :-) -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:22, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

GA reviews

Heyo Oshwah, I saw the comments at the Optional RfA poll and I thought that you could use this. There were a lot of essays on how to improve the quality of articles/review them, so I made a compilation with a few points of my own. You can perhaps use that while reviewing. It does help me a lot. Here it is. Regards, Yash! 20:16, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Ah, GA reviews can be a bit tricky for the new reviewers. Just evaluate every sentence individually and see if the criteria is satisfied in the tiniest of the detail. Start with the obvious ones, the articles that are in a poor condition. That will help you get the experience to find out faults. And keep watching other editors review (the comprehensive and lengthy ones) - this has helped me more than anything. You will get a hold of it soon enough. Good luck with the reviews! Best, Yash! 09:33, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

Concerning Manny (Ice Age)

Hi Oshwah,

Concerning my action of reverting edits made by Dbocz1234 in the article Manny (Ice Age), I have created an edit summary thoroughly explaining why I let it become a re-direct page again. His or her edits are simply a blatant copy-paste of http://iceage.wikia.com/wiki/Manny, and it really isn't necessary to create a new page for Manny since the main article explains enough information about the Ice Age character. If there are not any other issues regarding my action, please allow me to change the page into a redirect page for the time being (with possibilities). SomeoneNamedDerek (talk) 04:08, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi SomeoneNamedDerek! Thanks for leaving me a message with your concerns regarding the changes made to the Manny (Ice Age). Thanks for the heads up and for correcting the bone head reversion I made to the article. Much, much appreciated! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 12:55, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Re: Recent Anonymous Edit

Hi, I honestly doubt you viewed my edit, because all I did was replace a parenthetical that was clunky with an inline prepositional phrasing. So uhh, excuse me if I'm being rude, but from my experience with RCP on various wikis, including this one, before I decided to just stay anon, I think you just saw an anon edit and reverted it. I am familiar with the Wikipedia Manual of Style and all I did was improve readability in accordance with the commonly accepted grammar of the English language. 76.174.237.125 (talk) 04:10, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) For someone who claims to be familiar with wikipedia this quote "I think you just saw an anon edit and reverted it" sure seems to show an astounding lack of WP:AGF which is one of our most important policies on the english wikipedia. "So uhh, excuse me if I'm being rude" You already knew you were bing rude you could have discussed this like an adult. "Improve readability in accordance with the commonly accepted grammar of the English language" the word Titular does not necessarily improve the readability. The word Titular isn't what I'd call "commonly accepted grammar" title also is easier to read. So I'd stop hurling accusations of bad faith at Oshwah a long standing editor with a spotless record, who seems to hold with IPs are Human too and discuss this in a rational, calm and professional tone instead of the accusatory tone you brought with you. --Cameron11598 (Talk) 20:06, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

It will answer your questions and address the concerns that you have. In short, there are guidelines regarding the creation of articles about people. The person must meet notability guidelines listed in the pages that I provided for you; you cannot simply create an article about anyone. Please review the policies and guidelines I've linked you, and do not hesitate to let me know if you have questions about them. I'll be happy to answer them. Happy editing :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:52, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Update. Hello O. I wanted to let you know that the article has been listed for AFD here Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hussein Ajami. I know you might have seen this already but I thought I'd add the link to save you some time. Regards. MarnetteD|Talk 00:55, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
MarnetteD - Awesome; thanks for the heads up :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 00:56, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Hello

Thanks for your message

I am struggling with editing this page, everytime I edit something, it reverts back to the original version - I think there must be a bot doing this, hence why not every edit I explain why, because I am trying to figure out why it continues to revert and what I can do to change this

Any help would be terrific

Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiredeco (talkcontribs) 02:04, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Tiredeco! Some of the reversions to your changes were made by me. I noticed that you removed content without explaining why using an edit summary. This is important to do, as it lets other editors know about your changes and why you're making them. If you have any more questions about the use of an edit summary, please do not hesitate to ask me them. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have and assist you with anything you need. Welcome to Wikipedia! I'm happy that you're here!! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:17, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Hello and thanks again for getting back to me. Totally understood, it was me testing what I could do in terms of it reverting, trying to understand what happens if I delete this versus this - sorry it was not intentional - more like a process of elimination. Thank you for your help, I understand much more now. Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiredeco (talkcontribs) 03:46, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Tiredeco - There are no apologies needed; you're new and you're going to make mistakes. Giving new editors the benefit of the doubt isn't just an encouraged behavior, it's expected. If you want to test or construct an article, you can use the sandbox or anywhere on your userspace. Questions? Let me know! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:16, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Oshwah you are terrific thanks again.
I do actually have an issue, I was wondering if you could assist me?
I am trying to delete a sentence that is unsourced and replace it with a paragraph full of sourced information - but user JJMC89 continues to delete my sourced information. What do I do next to deal with this individual? I am new on Wikipedia as you might be able to tell, and I am struggling with understanding why a user would delete sourced information in preference with unsourced information?
Thank youTiredeco (talk) 05:32, 28 June 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiredeco (talkcontribs) 05:19, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Tiredeco - Have you discussed your concerns with JJMC89 on his talk page? I know JJMC89 well; I haven't seen an edit made by him that was not legitimate or not within policy, and he's a very open and welcoming user to bring your concerns to. Discuss your changes with JJMC89 directly; he'll be more than happy to give you input and explain why he reverted your changes. If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask me them. I'll be happy to assist you with anything that you need. Good luck, and I wish you happy editing! :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:06, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Oshwah

I noticed the page titled Romalea guttata says under the section titled "Defense" that the insect emits a foul-tasting secretion with no explanation of how that is known. The citation to the University of Florida at the end of the section does not mention the taste of the secretion. Is this allowed on Wikipedia?

Thanks, James 24.250.162.248 (talk) 03:07, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi there, James! Thank you for leaving me a message with your question! Yes, that's perfectly allowed; the content briefly explains that this species, Romalea guttata, secrets a foul-tasting liquid as a defense mechanism when it's disturbed. The content is referenced, and the source here appears to be reliable and directly backs up this claim. Since the reference also has references to other articles and content within its content, this source is considered a secondary source. These are the type of references that Wikipedia prefers (and sometimes requires) that we use. In short, to answer your question: the content you're expressing concerns with appear to be perfectly fine. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Cheers! -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:16, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Oshwah/Templates/PMRRightPlace

Hi Oshwaw, if you want to add these to lots of Wikipedia: locations I suggest either making them transcluded subpages (if they are page specific), or move to Template: space (if more generic). — xaosflux Talk 03:27, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

xaosflux - Do you think that my additions make a good permanent addition to those pages? I've published others as well: 1, 2, 3, 4. If you do, I'll happily move them over to the right place. I just didn't know if anyone would, which is why I didn't do so before... ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:09, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
I think they are fine - maybe give it a day or two then move them if noone reverts you :D — xaosflux Talk 11:41, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Xaosflux - Thanks for the input! Cool, sounds good to me - I will wait for a bit and do just that. Thanks again for the message; I very much appreciate your time. Cheers -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:19, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Request to join a discussion

Hi, Oshwah! You may remember me from our discussion about Nile crocodiles about a month ago. I wasn't logged in, we had a small dispute, then came to an agreement. In fact the reason I contact you today is, I need your help. After our dispute resolution I had come to the conclusion that you are an objective user with strong cognitive and reasoning skills. Also you are very bold and upfront, and don't hesitate to take action when needed (saw a lot of admin noticeboard entries by you :) - you don't hold back from making sure justice is served). All these qualities are needed in this case that I am about to present you. I have been unfortunate enough to come in contact with a user who has no idea about the Wikipedia etiquette and regulations. He has been constantly disrespecting and insulting me over the past few days. Therefore I am inviting users whose skills I trust. Here is an excerpt from my invitation to another user about this very topic:

"I'm dealing with a case of disrespect and immaturity, and obviously this discussion (if there was ever one in the first place) needs a third party. I trust your assessment skills when you review any given topic, therefore I am inviting you to the Athens Riviera page. Here is the link. Please review the changes on both the article page, its talk page and both user talk pages in the right chronological order. This has become really ugly. Such behaviour makes Wikipedia unbearable at times.. You know how patient I am but even this case is beyond me.."

Oshwah, I am asking the same thing from you. I trust your judgment. Thanks in advance.. Berkserker (talk) 08:27, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Btw, the user keeps deleting the entry on his user talk page, therefore here [5] I attach the last version on his talk page. He keeps copy pasting the entire conversation to my talk page, haven't seen anything so bizarre all these years. He is simply operating in the details to maximise his abuse.. Berkserker (talk) 08:33, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi, Berkserker! It's great to see you again! I don't remember the dispute we had, but hey no worries (and no hard feelings) -- I'm sure we both were civil, acted on good faith with one another, and we resolved it :-). Sure, I'll be more than happy to help step in and assist with this issue. Let me look over all of the edits and discussions and get back to you... stand by :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:38, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Berkserker - is it Weatherextremes that you feel is being uncivil towards you? Weatherextremes, can you help me understand what the discussion and dispute is all about? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:43, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
HI Oshwah, thank you for the intervention.I am not sure if you had a chance to check out what is happening here. The whole problem started when Berkserker reverted a legit source from the article I created named Athens Riviera.I reverted back his edit which was vague (something in line that there were inconsistencies with the source but he did not clarify these with his initial edit). He came back in a rude manner and told me off as not being able to comprehend English when he was the one having difficulty understanding a simple graph. I went on to explain his mistake and instead of admitting his foul politely he constructed a whole narrative about international rules on graphs. That was by far the cheapest defence I have ever heard from someone. What made me react was his extreme arrogance and sense of entitlement that actually drove him to comment on my comprehension skills. The fact that he immediately assumed that I gave an inconsistent source without double checking the graph in question made me very sceptical of his judgement. Again I am stressing that what is unsettling with him is the fact that he lacks the ability to discuss without a sense of entitlement. He was the one to start the insults and he got even nastier when I tried to explain his mistake. If he was polite, non antagonistic and without insults towards me I would not have reacted. Here is my latest reply to him [6] Weatherextremes (talk) 09:07, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Weatherextremes - We're talking about these edits (1, 2, 3), correct? Berkserker - Can you show me diffs or exact changes made to your talk page by Weatherextremes that you considered to be uncivil behavior towards you? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:19, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Yes these are the edits. Also let me add that he was the one to initially hijack my talk page and in a very rude demanding way titling his comment your recent behaviour. I mean who is he to tell me off in such a manner when in fact he was the one to get it wrong? So I reacted in the same fashion. He commented on my talk page as if he was an admin or something.Weatherextremes (talk) 09:27, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
@Weatherextremes: Really? How can you be so delusional? I advise you to go back and read everything again, in the right order:

English may not be your native language, perhaps you can't understand the discussion or comments left for an edit, but that does not give you the right to be disrespectful to other editors. It was clear even from my first edit what the issue was, however either you insisted on not understanding or simply can't understand it. Neither gives you the right to be be disrespectful saying "Do not revert again if you can't understand something" especially when it is you who can't understand a simple phrase for the past few days, no matter how many different ways I put it for you to understand. Let me put it in a more simple form so you can understand. "The precipitation graph on the site does not match the figures below". According to the chart the monthly precipitation in mm is apx. 61, 54, 55,... while the written form is 48.3, 40.9, 39.7 and so on. This is why it is inconsistent. Either you have to contact your Greek authorities for them to correct those figures, or we need to find another credible source. Berkserker (talk) 06:24, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
First of all you better refrain from judging my English comprehension when you are the one who has problems understanding simple graphs.Secondly only NOW you explain in detail what you mean with the inconsistency in the Athens Riviera article. Finally please try to improve your cognitive skills so as they won't make you look like a fool in the future. The columns in the graph refer to Total days of rain while the blue line is the monthly precipitation.I mean come on!A 12 year old could get that Weatherextremes (talk) 14:16, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Only after your insult I questioned your language skills. It was the most polite way to express my resentment about your behaviour. I simply gave you a chance to explain your aggressive and disrespectful attitude by saying "maybe you don't understand due to language", which is nothing to be ashamed of even if it was the case. I wouldn't accuse you of such a thing... Despite being insulted I approached with goodwill but you still continued to insult me... Still I didn't act like you did, even after dozens of hatred filled abusive messages, one after another.. Your argument is just ridiculous.. Berkserker (talk) 09:34, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Mate, you had no right to hijack my talk page telling me off in this manner. It was you that initially started this whole thing with your message on my talk page. You were vague about the inconsistencies and I reverted the edit and told you to be careful if you dont understand something.Turns out you had not understood the graph and started twisting everything I was saying because your ego is simply too big to get over a mistake. It was you who started the whole thing by being rude , antagonistic and by hijacking my talk page.Weatherextremes (talk) 09:42, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
"Do not revert again if you can't understand something" - you can't use such a phrase when speaking to anyone, even if they have made a mistake. If it was vague, you could have simply left a message on my talk page, and I would have realised my mistake and apologise. Despite that I didn't approach you with the same manner, I was still hoping this attitude was because of a language barrier. But you took it personal and kept attacking me. Even after all those messages you can clearly see i was still very calm despite all the things you told me. You kept insulting, laughing, abusing and whatnot. The moment I realised my mistake I admitted it (unlike you claim), but still it wasn't good enough for you and kept insulting. At this point it isn't me who is "rude and antagonistic" with a "big ego". Also I never twisted a single truth while you were doing it all throughout.. Because I am sure you are intelligent enough to be consistent throughout, which you weren't. It can only be intensional.. Berkserker (talk) 09:57, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Berkserker, Weatherextremes - To be quite frank, it appears that you both are behaving in a hostile and uncivil manner towards one another. I understand that you're frustrated over this issue; it can be easy to become angry and allow those feelings to influence your discussion towards others. I think you both need to remember that we're here to build an encyclopedia. You're both on the same team and wearing the same colored jerseys, and you're arguing with another team mate (not an enemy). You both need to stop, and agree to put the past anger and behavior aside, shake hands, apologize, and help me to help you both. Fighting isn't going to improve the article, working together does.
What's wrong with this edit to the article? I don't think the extra content is really necessary, and I also don't think that a citation needed note is needed either. Is there something incorrect about this change? Also, is there something wrong with the current source provided (which looks to be this page)? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:53, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
@Oshwah: There really is not content dispute at this point, at least I don't contest the credibility of the source. My only problem is the attitude. Even though I had acknowledged my mistake, the same abusive and ridiculing behaviour went on and on, both on his page and mine.. Berkserker (talk) 10:18, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Following your advice Oshwah I will not continue with this antagonistic approach. You are right so I will not continue with this anymore.Weatherextremes (talk) 10:11, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Also Oshwah I think we need to keep the reference on the BSh climate on the article.I will provide an extra source in a few minutesWeatherextremes (talk) 10:14, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

I have also added two extra sources on the article and reinstated the passageWeatherextremes (talk) 10:22, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Weatherextremes - The edit I made didn't remove a reference from the article at all. Content such as "according to the Köppen climate classification" is simply a claim. It's not an actual reference. If you have additional sources for the content currently there, by all means... add it if it's reliable. It sounds like there's a dispute with the information within this reference - what exactly is wrong with it? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:23, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Oshwah it is not a claim. It derives from the data shown on the HNMS website. However I have included the Peel 2007 paper that shows there is a BSh climate in the Athens Riviera. You will need to enlarge the map significantly though Weatherextremes (talk) 10:27, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
I note the source you just added to the article. At first glance, it seems okay to me. I agree with you; I think that the bulk of the dispute and the real underlying issue between the two of you is the fact that you're frustrated with one another over and making hostile comments back-and-fourth, not the actual content itself. When disputes between one another get to this point, it becomes purely disruptive to the project. While the community will certainly understand that tempers can flare and why, it's still highly frowned upon and isn't acceptable conduct. Your frustrations may explain your actions, but it does not excuse them. You both are now going back-and-fourth, pointing fingers at one another about the rude and uncivil comments you both have made, and then piling more disruptive and uncivil comments in your finger-pointing... this spiral will only continue unless you two agree right now to stop, apologize, and promise to work together. Not only is this bickering and battleground conduct disruptive and against policy, it's really quite silly... especially over something so small and easy-to-resolve such as this. Weatherextremes, Berkserker - can you help me out here (as well as help yourselves out) and agree to put the silliness aside, forgive one another, and shake hands? Please? :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:40, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
I agree with you Oshwah so I apologise to Berkserker for the inconvenience and I consider the issue resolved.Weatherextremes (talk) 10:42, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
I both acknowledge and admire your response, and the fact that you've chosen to drop the stick and move on peacefully. I really hope that Berkserker chooses to do the same. Please communicate with one another on the article's talk page or user talk page if further issues develop, and work on being neutral and respectful towards each other. Please also feel free to message me with any additional questions or concerns. I'll be happy to step in and assist in any way that is needed. My talk page is always open. I wish you both the best of luck. Regards -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 10:52, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Well, Oshwah, all due respect, I can't agree. I believe it is just easy to find "middle ground" when the facts prove otherwise. I will just not continue a debate that from the first moment I deemed "silly". Therefore I will shake hands (something I was trying to do from the very beginning), but I don't see what I did to apologise. Berkserker (talk) 10:54, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Berkserker - I apologize; I wasn't trying to say nor imply that the content dispute or the fact that you two are trying to resolve it with one another is "silly". The article and its content obviously mean a lot to the both of you; else, you two wouldn't be here discussing it with me nor would you have sought my help to try and bring clarity and mediation to the dispute. What is silly is the fact that back-and-fourth hostility and incivility developed from a content dispute. There isn't really any content dispute in general that excuses or justifies that kind of behavior... that's all I meant to say. But hey, it's behind us now! You both apologized to one another and shook hands here. That's a great end to a heated dispute, and one that is very rare to see around here at times. It doesn't occur often enough. You two should be proud of yourselves for choosing to do that; I'll say that I sure am :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:07, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Oshwah, you misunderstood me. It is me saying all this debate is silly in the first place. I had been trying to come to terms with the user from the first moment, which he misunderstood and escalated the argument. This is why i find it silly and immature from the very start. I am shaking hands since this was my goal from the beginning, but I am not apologising. Berkserker (talk) 11:27, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Berkserker - Ah, okay. I understand your thinking now - thanks for clearing that up. I can be quite a bone head at times... you'll have to forgive my foolishness :-). As I previously said, the fact that you both agreed to shake hands, leave your frustration by the curb, and walk away peacefully is a good and rare ending to a dispute like this. As I'm sure you already know, I've provided help with a lot of heated and nasty disputes, and they usually end with administrator intervention and blocking for one thing or another. It makes me happy to see that this dispute did not become one of those cases. It shows maturity, leadership, and good judgment on your part to do that. It certainly isn't easy for many people to do (again, as you probably already know). :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:45, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
It has never been my goal to get anyone warned or blocked. If it was so I would have reported the activity the first moment I was insulted. But I chose to reason with the user like I always do. My hand was always out there to be shaken despite the claims and insults. It is really unfortunate when the other user is labelling and accusing you with having a "big ego" and "twisting" the facts while in fact you are doing the exact opposite, while they are portraying the behaviour they are accusing you of. Berkserker (talk) 12:02, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Berkserker Yup, it's not my goal either. I always try to extend every reach of the hand possible before I decide that it's time for an administrator to intervene. When I have to do it, I see it as a missed opportunity on my part (as silly as that sounds). It's good that you try your hardest to diffuse the situation and remain calm and civil; it's not easy at times. Many people (for whatever reason) choose not to practice or develop skills in that area. But it's a critical skill-set to have if you plan on becoming a long-term contributor and start working in privileged or high-trust areas. It's what identifies truly experienced editors from the new, and creates leaders from those who follow. Keep working on that skill-set, and keep up the good work. It will reward you. I promise. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:42, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, no rewards needed ;) It has been more than ten years since I became an editor on Wikipedia. It has always been my philosophy to remain as a low profile editor. This is why you can't find any details about me on my profile and quite often I edit logged out. I have had a number of accounts since 2005, every time one had been on the spotlight, receive barnstars and attention, I moved on to the next. This is just how I look at it. You may say it is an old school Wikipedia editor behaviour, a stereotypical first gen. kind of attitude, but in reality I believe this was why Wikipedia was formed in the first place. Cheers! OM Adhiparasakthi Old Book Shop deletion

why do you tag https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OM_Adhiparasakthi_Old_Book_Shop_(OM_Sakthi_Books) page for speedy deletion it is developing article iam new i will collect more usefull info soon Kathir.pandyan (talk) 13:43, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Kathir.pandyan! Thanks for leaving me a message with your questions and concerns. The article you created has been tagged for speedy deletion because it represents a company or organization but does not make a credible claim of significance (see this deletion guideline for more information). To contest the speedy deletion properly, you need to follow the directions given to you within the tag. Do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the article you created. That is not allowed. You must follow the directions in order to contest the deletion properly (you do so by leaving a message on the article's talk page here). Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks for understanding, and for following proper procedure. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 13:47, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Draft Robert Reed page

"Hi Oshwah, and thank you for your message. The page I am creating is only a draft. I pasted the obituary information to remind myself of points to cover. I don't intend to leave the original text online. Please do not delete this draft; I am working on it with other people who will be contributing to it in the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience!"Mscarva (talk) 14:20, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Mscarva - You need to review and understand Wikipedia's policies and guidelines regarding copyrights and copyright violations. Copying and pasting content straight from an external URL is a copyright violation, and is not allowed. This is why the article you created has been tagged for speedy deletion under the relevant criteria. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns regarding the policies and guidelines I've linked to you here. I'll be happy to assist you further. Cheers -- ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 15:13, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
"Hi Oshwah. Thank you for your response. We are reading the policies and if you look at the current draft you will see that we have removed the content that you identified as copyright infringement. In any case, we never intended to publish it in that form; it was only for draft purposes, and because the citations and references are not finished we have not submitted the draft for review yet. Please look at the revised draft, still in progress, and let me know if you see any problems with it."Mscarva (talk) 20:27, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi again Mscarva! I found a few more copyvio issues within the page that I removed. Other than that, the page now looks to be free of copyvio issues and I have removed the speedy deletion tag that I placed on it. Please let me know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Cheers! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:22, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Templates subpages

Hi Oshwah, about Special:PrefixIndex/User:Oshwah/Templates/, would it make sense for these to be moved into the Template namespace, with docs complete with see alsos, and put into a new "right place" Category to make it easy to keep track, or is it a bit soon? I'm not versed enough to know if there's precedence with user-space templates being highly visible out in the project space. The navigation templates do look pretty helpful. Cheers, — Andy W. (talk ·ctb) 22:16, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Andy M. Wang! Good question! I think you're right; I'll start moving these templates over to the template space in a few days and get them properly hooked up. It's funny... Xaosflux just mentioned this today as well. Not to worry; I'll get to work on them :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:10, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

About the Rookies TV series edit of release date change.

Hi Oshwah,

The reason I changed the release date for The Rookies television series is because the official release date was on March 7, 1972 not on September 11, 1972 contrary to those who originally watched the show when it aired. I only changed it because it makes sense that the series started on that date even though it came out as a tv movie of the week when in fact it was a pilot for the series. Please change it back, because I feel that's the correct date of release. Nostalgia Critic episodes

When I saw the video, I heard the Critic say that there were some funny scenes, so I thought it would be a good idea to add it. I wasn't trying to cause trouble, I just added what I thought was important. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.77.198.116 (talk) 02:53, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion tag

Thanks for your message. I removed the tag myself. I intend on adding to the article to comply with wiki standards, but the tag removal was done on accident. I copy and pasted an older version of the article that was published prior to that being added. CodenameLaurenn (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:03, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Nicole Aniston - age

> I noticed that you made a change to an article, Nicole Aniston, but you didn't provide a source.

There is a citation which is added by someone other. I noticed an inconsistency between the citation and wiki page. Please revert your undo. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.254.161.104 (talk) 06:29, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

lloyd pye

you sent me a message saying that you removed the editing i made on lloyd pye and as i have watched documentaries on the science of the subject matters and the results i really wanted to update the article so the truth would be known and have changed false information with truthful information as it is only fair the truth be known and if scientists are wrong and prooven wrong then that should also be there for all to see and be put in the picture aswell as biased nonsense is not what people should be taking in as truth when the evidences and proofs happened in reality and the scientists who were prooven wrong should be known to have been wrong after trying to discredit lloyd in the first place, these documentaries are on youtube and the internet so even if the truth isn't allowed to be given on here then at least and i hope people find out the irrefutable truth by going online or youtube and give this amazing man the merit he more than deserves after all the years of battling with scientist who as we all know make plenty of mistakes and can't see past the end of their noses most of the time and should be shown to be unreliable when they are especially when they try to discredit legitimate people and their research and prooven results, he had to wait 3 or more years for dna technology to advance before the skulls separate dna could be examined but as with the proof after 6 or more tests on humans not evolving on earth and our kind only existing the last 200,000 years beyond a doubt even though some scientist didn't like it doesn't mean lloyd pye shouldn't be vindicated when scientifically prooven right beyond a shadow of a doubt and that's all i was doing Ian kilburn (talk) 13:12, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi Ian kilburn! Thank you for leaving me a message with your questions and concerns. Your edits here and here had multiple issues. The content you added was not referenced or supported with any reliable sources, they contained clear issues with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, and contained numerous grammatical issues and even seemed to delve off-topic. I highly recommend that you start a discussion on the article's talk page and collaborate with other editors regarding the content you believe should be added. I also recommend that you review each of the policies and guidelines that I've linked you to here. They will further explain the issues with those edits, and answer any questions that you may have. Please let me know if you have any more questions. I'll be happy to answer them. Good luck :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 23:51, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Just report any new accounts to AIV, put in your report that the account is a sock puppet of SGK, and an administrator will take care of it. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:10, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

Sorry

If you get a notice that I reverted one of your edits, please disregard it -- it was just a smartphone misclick, and I've reinstated the edit. Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 04:13, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

re editing my edit.

I am sorry you felt the need to remove my edit. It was impartial and factual. She *has* upset the party members, she *did* behave treacherously to her party leader who *is* very popular among the party members. So much so that tens of thousand of people joined the party since he came into power, and thousands have joined as a show of support to him since the motion.I can understand my edit being removed if it was untruthful or defamatory, but it was neither. Just as you accuse my comment of not being impartial, likewise I regard your removal of my edit, as not being impartial. Please reinstate it forthwith. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.92.214.124 (talk) 17:44, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi there! Thanks for leaving me a message with your concerns. Your edits here and here contain neutral point of view issues. In the article, you added the following quote: "despite the huge popularity of Mr Corbyn among the Labour party members who consider her treachery to be shameful." The word usage, sentence structure, and lack of a reference to a reliable source modifies the sentence to now appear as if an opinion and point of view has been injected into it. This is why I (as well as RickinBaltimore) reverted your changes. I highly recommend that you review Wikipedia's guidelines on neutral point of view, when you need to cite a reference with your changes, and how to identify reliable sources. These guidelines will provide you with all of the information that you need. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the guidelines that I've provided for you here. I'll be happy to answer them and assist you with anything that you need. Thanks for understanding, and I wish you happy editing. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 19:58, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

No subject

Hey Oshwah yeah you can remove the the "hope" statement but the other statements are true in the manga chapter 670 page 13, where Yaichiru states that Zaraki's body was unable to handle the immense power.Hence he could not fight his opponent. My edits were legitimate and not a test

Hi. I received a message about my edits to the Chicana/o- Latina/o Law review page, which is a student-run journal of UCLA Law. I am the current co-editor in chief of the publication and edited the page to reflect the current members and made a few small stylistic edits. Please reinstate these edits. Thank you! 75.171.171.198 (talk) 21:26, 30 June 2016 (UTC)
