Liverpool Cheese Company Ltd. was started on the 21st of July, 2006. It is located on 29a Woolton Street, Woolton Village. It is owned by Vickie Anderson & Ian Tomlinson. The shop has had lots of publicity including Vickie speaking on both of the local Liverpool radio stations about cheese in general. In July, the company was shortlisted for the UKTV Local Food Heros competition (NW division). They were filmed for the television programme and on the 17th November, the programme was broadcast. Unfortunatly, they didn't get through to the finals. The shop offers over one hundred artisan cheeses and a range of local made bread, chocolates & freshly ground coffee. Workers at the company include Ian Tomlinson, Vickie Anderson, Phil Hanlon, & some occasional workers, Mike Wilcox, Gabriella Thompson, Clarissa Thompson & Catherine Burns. The company attend a wide range of markets, including Woolton Market, Hope Street Market/Festival, Neston Market and a few more. The shop provides cheese for many local restaurants including Odyssey, Blue Bar, Pan American, Amber, Spire & Julians.
