The article you wrote has too many words[edit]

"I believe more in the scissors than I do in the pencil." - Truman Capote

"No compulsion in the world is stronger than the urge to edit someone else's document." - H. G. Wells

And remember: these guys were smarter than all of us[edit]

  • "Men of few words are the best men." - William Shakespeare
  • "The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do." - Thomas Jefferson
  • "Substitute ‘damn’ every time you’re inclined to write ‘very'; your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be." - Mark Twain
  • “If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.” - George Orwell (How about "If you can cut a word, cut it", George?)

(It's a shame these are all dudes. Know a good editing quote from a woman? Let me know on my Talk page.)

Hi Pop! Thanks for the Weezer pages you've done! As for a minor suggestion, the working cover art for Songs from the Black Hole is up on Weezerpedia. I've included the link. It's your call if you want to include it, but from my understanding it wasn't fan art but rather the real cover as they were tracking. Great page (Songs from the black hole) btw! Even though we've only recently been working on the same articles, you've been incredibly helpful in many of the things I've been trying to do, and I hope I've been helpful to you in the same way! Keep up the great work! Sock (tock talk) 17:41, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for quality articles such as The King of Limbs and Songs from the Black Hole, for pruning by "Were those deleted words really necessary?" as an act of kindness, with educating and amusing edit summaries, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
