|Purpose||To promote the understanding, development and application of Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (CMNS) for the benefit of the public。|
The International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS) is a not-for-profit scientific society whose mission is to "promote the understanding, development and application of Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (CMNS) for the benefit of members and the wider community."
Although the term "cold fusion" was previously associated with research in this area, the term "condensed-matter nuclear science" was chosen to emphasize the new understanding that quantum field effects--such as tunneling and coherence--in condensed matter play a decisive role in low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR), which produce anomalous energy and reactive end products.
The International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science is a not for profit Society re-organized as a limited liability corporation on 2nd June 2004 (specifically as a private company limited by guarantee under English law). The Society registered in England as a Charity in October 2006.
The society was organized at the 2004 International Workshop on Anomalies in Hydrogen / Deuterium loaded Metals,at Asti, Italy but can be traced back to April 27, 1989 from a paper written by Jone's in Nature entitled "Observation of cold nuclear fusion in condensed matter." From here "Condensed Matter Nuclear Science" was suggested at the ICCF-9 and was adopted as the title for the conference. At ICCF-10 the title was adopted for an electronic journal and abbreviated to CMNS. It became the International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS) in 2004.

The International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science Prizes (known as ISCMNS Prizes) is an international awards by The International Society for Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (ISCMNS). It presents “prizes” to those individuals who are making or have made an outstanding contribution in the field of CMNS. These individuals typically are not in the “spot light” hence “Truffle” but their contributions have expanded the boundaries of CMNS and in so doing so have provided new insights into our field of research. In recent years, the “Prizes” are typically present to the recipients at The International Conference on Condensed Matter Nuclear Science also known as the International Conference on Cold Fusion (ICCF)”.
