I'm a retired genealogist (formerly teacher) now living in France with my wife. Having recently joined Wikipedia, I am limiting myself to making minor corrections here and there, but am working on Matthew Arnold as a first project, hoping usefully to expand the existing article.

I lived a lot of my life in North-East England, but was in the Bahamas for six years 1966-72 and studied French in Lyon for a year 1962-3.

I hope to be able to contribute on: English genealogy-related articles, classical music, English and French language and literature, the Bahamas, and perhaps the history and topography of North-East England.
