[edit]constructaquote (often stylised as constructaquote.com) is a British Insurance Broker. They provide quotations for business insurance including Public Liability. The company is based in Caerphilly, South Wales and was formed by Lyndon Wood in 1990. They are an Insurance Age Top 100 UK Independent Broker.[1] constructaquote.com is a trading name of Moorhouse Group Ltd.
History
[edit]Lyndon Wood set up his own company in the insurance industry in 1990. Wood did this at the age of 19 from his home under the name Insurability UK Group. [2] In 1999, the company became limited under Liability Direct Underwriting Limited and later changed it in 2005 to become Moorhouse Group Ltd. [3] The company is based in Caerphilly, Wales. [4]
In June 2016, constructaquote.com agreed to a deal with electronics company Nextbase UK, to offer reduced insurance to commercial van drivers and owners of fleets across the UK, who could benefit from 15% off their policy when a Nextbase dash cam is installed. [5]
Services
[edit]constructaquote.com provides a comparison service for business insurance such as Public Liabilty, Professional Indemnity, Van Insurance and Employers Liability Insurance. They work with insurance companies such as Ageas, Covea, Lloyds, Liverpool Victoria, Aviva and more.
Charity Work
[edit]constructaquote.com often take part in supporting European Cancer Stem Cell Research Institute. [6] The company have raised and donated money in different ways including the Gauntlet Games Cardiff. [7] Wood said “I prefer to support local causes wherever possible-" [8]
Technology
[edit]In 2017, constructaquote.com released an artificial intelligence chatbot to help current and potential customers with a faster and simpler way to request information on insurance policies. [9]
They followed this up with integration with Facebook Messenger in 2018 which included the UK’s first Facebook chatbot. The chatbot allows customers to request quotations and can respond to specific product queries and general questions. [10]
In Janurary 2019, Xcina secured a deal with Moorhouse Group and constructaquote.com which would see a roll-out of applications and services aimed at cyber risk assessment, threat detection, and a virtual cyber incident response team. [11]
