Sean Martin (butcher) was born 25th July 1992, in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Sean Martin attended school at Christchurch Boys High School and found he had superb athletic talents as well as great skills with meat. He started working as a butcher during work experience for school and was quickly recognised as one of the greatest young talents coming through the meat maker ranks of Christchurch and New Zealand. He is now in the enviable position of being the favourite to take out the New Zealand apprentice of the year award.

In Sean's sporting career he has played rugby league for the Riccarton Knights club which has nurtured such talent as Lewis Brown of the Penrith Panthers and also Fitness model and personal trainer Jeremy Field. Sean first played Rugby league at age 18 and played the wing and fullback positions. He then moved into the hooker position where he revelled in the physical encounters and has been highest try scorer for his team for multiple seasons. His most memorable try was against Burnham in 2013 off the back of the scrum during a move called Ziggler where he crossed the line untouched.

Sean has many nicknames including; Xavi, Xavi Martinez, Coddie, Chieften, Brother Coddie, Seany, and python just to name a few.

Rumour says that Sean is an outside chance for the Kiwis in the 2014 Four Nations Competition starting October.

He is currently working as a Butcher full time while training as a body builder.
