Hello! My name is Monika. I am a communication & media studies scholar, educator, organizer, web developer, former journalist, and Wikipedian. I'm passionate about critical media literacy and community engagement. This passion guides my activities on Wikipedia. Many of the edits I make on Wikipedia are small improvements. My aim in editing is to expand access to knowledge for information seekers.

Conflict of Internet

In 2017-2018 I am the OCLC Wikipedian-in-Residence. I am collaborating with an awesome team to design and deliver online training and learning materials about Wikipedia for public library staff in the United States. You can follow my WIR activities under a designated username: Monikasj. This is my personal, volunteer account.
