Dear Shrdlu Junction,

We could well have come across each other somewhere along the line. I was Manager of Melbourne's Railfan Shop for 10 years, when it was in Market Place. I was then with Charles Leski Auctions where I valued a great deal of tramway material including desto blinds, tickets, ticket machines, and even cable car bell punches. I was founding editor of the Australian Timetable Association's two magazines "The Times" and "Table Talk". I have also written articles for other magazines, in particular "Transit Australia".

Your reference to "Almonds and Raisins" suggests that you MAY be Jewish. I am also a Lay Reader and long-standing member of the Leo Baeck Centre for Progressive Judaism, and I'm Secretary of the Council of Christians & Jews (Vic.).

So there you are, your note got me to reveal my biography. Sorry to bore you.
