Shufeng played soccer in middle school and basket ball in high school. He learned Chinese martial arts and swim in college.

Starting from 2004, he occationally plays the international game GeoCaching, in which a player seeks the pre-hinden "cache" with hints from GPS and other information.

Now he is learning figure skating slowly.

Shufeng Bai was born on November 23, 1977 in Keshang Township, Heilongjiang Province, China. He is father was a carpenter in a small village of rural northeastern China.
