User:Siddhant.Vet/Macchli - The tigress

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Macchli - The tigress (Hindi - मच्छली) is a Bengal tiger from Ranthambore National Park, India. She is one of the most photographed tigers in the world. At 17, she is also one of the oldest tigers living in the world. Macchli is famous for her unique story, which has left biologists, wildlife experts, tourists and behavioral experts in awe. Macchli earned a dominion over a large territory in Ranthambore and ruled over her territory for 10 years, successfully attempting to keep other tigers at bay. She has also displayed parenting skills that are rarely seen in animals other than humans. She was named Macchli owing to the 'fish gill' pattern on her cheek.
