Mohamad Jebara is a writer, athlete, and cultural sensitivity consultant.^[1][2] Considered "Ottawa’s coolest Imam"^[3] by the Ottawa Citizen, he endorses a non-aggressive, all-inclusive approach to religion which, he maintains, is the avenue to social harmony and devoutness.^[4] He is the Chief Imam and Resident Scholar at the Cordova Spiritual Education Center.^[5][6][7]

Cycling Cleric:

He initiated an annual charitable initiative called “Cycling Cleric”, in 2014 to raise funds for and awareness of leading health and social issues.^[33] As “The Cycling Cleric”, Jebara seeks to promote physical fitness, and raise funds for various charities while taking an active role in bringing people together through education and interfaith dialogue .

Cycling Tours:

• In September 2014, Jebara cycled from Ottawa to Quebec City in support of the Ottawa Heart and Stroke Foundation.^[34][35]
• In May 2015, he completed a 535km ride from Ottawa to Toronto, in support of the Trillium Gift of Life Network’s drive to encourage organ and tissue donation in Ontario.^{[36][37][38][39]}
• In September 2015, he initiated a bike race aimed at raising awareness about affordable housing with other clerics in the Ottawa region for the Multi-faith Housing Initiative.^[40][41]
