Positive sense of azimuth[edit]

Your helpful diagram is in use in the article azimuth. It shows the azimuth increasing in the counterclockwise direction, i.e. zero at north and 90° at west. This is the opposite sense of the usual convention for horizontal coordinates. I believe this could be corrected by simply reversing the diagram from right to left and adjusting the text. Do you agree? --Reuben (talk) 18:16, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

That's a good find -- I never noticed this before. I updated someone elses drawing from Italian to English without realizing that the direction was reversed. I'll go ahead and flip the diagram. Thanks for letting me know! TWCarlson (talk) 11:17, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
Looks great, thanks! --Reuben (talk) 18:55, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
