I am an experienced Wikimedia editor, and an Associate Editor of WikiJournal of Humanities.
I led the Wikimedia Foundation-funded project titled “Wikimedia Awareness in Ogbomosho”, which focused on digitizing Ogbomosho’s tangible and intangible heritage, including personalities, political figures, oral traditions, monuments, and indigenous knowledge systems. I also led the Wikimedia Project titled “AfroHistory: Promoting Nigerian Legends and Heroes”, where Nigerian Legends and their heritages were well documented. During these projects, I led team members and editors (both new and existing editors) to create over 50 articles and edit over 200 articles.
I am one for the Facilitator for Advancing Nigeria’s Cultural Heritage Preservation (ANCHoR). Also, I was one of the facilitators for Wikimedia Promotion in Akure, Preservation of Owo Cultural Heritage on Wikimedia, and also a facilitator for Wikimedia Promotion in Lead City.
I held leadership positions in Wikimedia, most notably as a two-time Special Duty Officer, I was also the former Vice President, Training and Development of the Wikimedia Fan Club, University of Ilorin.
As an Associate Editor of WikiJournal of Humanities, I contributes to a global community of experts and academics who review humanities and social sciences articles on WikiJournal via Wikiversity platform. I have participated in many Wikimedia Projects and Campaigns such as Wiki Loves SDGs 2021 where I participated as an active editor, I have also participated in Campaigns like WikiForHuman Rights Nigeria; WikiClimateCampus Tour Nigeria; Afrocreatives Wikiprojects; Wiki Pages Wanting Photo (WPWP) Project; Wikiloves Library Nigeria among others where I contributed actively.
Beyond Wikimedia, I am a graduate of History and International Studies from University of Ilorin, Kwara State, I am a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria. I am an ADR Enthusiast, SDGs Advocate, Humanitarian, Nation Builder, YALI Network Kwara member.
I am a diplomat in building, and nation builder with a profound commitment to humanitarianism and an unwavering pursuit of truth. As a perpetual optimist, I thrive on continuous learning and aspire to make a positive global impact. My journey in humanitarianism is grounded in civic responsibility, actively engaging with organizations like YALI Network Kwara, Girl Up Nigeria, Wikimedia Foundation, and Pick That Trash Kwara Chapter. These experiences have not only enriched me but continually fuel my drive for greater humanitarian efforts.
I am dedicated to cultivating leadership skills that will enhance my contributions to society. Through diverse capacity-building courses, I have honed my leadership, communication, and public speaking skills. Passionate about volunteerism, I actively contribute to initiatives within organizations that reflects my unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes and the pursuit of meaningful change, embodying a dedication to fostering positive change and leaving a lasting impact on the world.
