'Frank McLynn - The Rantapine'
Born in 1953, Irishman Frank McLynn (The Rantapine) has been in the English language consultancy business since 1988, when he and his wife Alison Moffat founded the Englischer Sprachdienst GbR. in Munich, Germany. Having spent some time in London and New York, Frank finally settled in Munich over thirty years ago and worked for many years for Berlitz as a Language/ Teacher - trainer. The Englischer Sprachdienst utilizes Frank and Alison’s combined long-standing experience in English tuition and translation. Satisfied clients include many of Germany’s leading companies: Allianz, Siemens, E.ON Energie, Bucher Verlag, Triumph International, Klotz AIS, Marc O’ Polo, Strenesse, TÜV SÜD, BMW, IAMT, EADS GmbH to name but a few.. The English language in all its forms and applications has been a lifelong interest for Frank, who has expanded this interest to include the organisation of successful Irish theatre, literature, music & dance presentations in Munich. Frank is Honorary President & Founder of the Deutsch-Irischer Freundeskreis Bayern e.V. (German-Irish Society), Founder & Ex-Director of Green Farm Irish Folk Festival, Founder of Greensleeves, Member of The Munich Céili Band, Co-Founder with Alison Moffat of The Irish Folk Club Munich and Co-Founder of St. Patrick's Day Parade Munich. Frank is an ardent supporter and founder of of The Rantapine, one of his creations emanating from his time in Tang and the story of which will be published soon, The Barony of Kilkenny West, Ireland Frank McLynn received the Irish Network Germany Annual Award for exceptional contributions to Irish German Relationships in the field of Irish Culture and Music from the Irish Ambassador to Germany, His Excellency Michael Collins on 22 November 2014 in Munich, Germany.
