Ty first biography. Ty First, born Eyitayo Lawal in the North-central city of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria is a prolific writer, sonorous singer, Music director extraordinaire and the affable visioneer behind the popular gospel music group ;TheGracehouse (Nu Family). Ty attended Cherubim and Seraphim College, Ilorin before proceeding to the University of Ilorin where he obtained a degree in Guidance and Counseling after a brief period of studying Computer Science. Tayo, as some his friends call him was noted for his musical ingenuity from an early age and his passion and drive culminated in the establishment of TheGracehouse a.k.a Nu Family in 2007. The group’s vision is to create an atmosphere of worship by singing Universally appealing songs with Spirituality and professionalism. The group has so far staged at least 10 mega concerts and has shared the stage with ntable Nigerian and International artistes in the like of Ron Kennoly, Kenny K’ore Akinbode, Big Bolaji, yetunde are,chris morgan,tim godfrey,mike aremu, and so on. TyFirst and TheGracehouse have to their credit an album and a couple of hit tracks like “Some have food”, “Oun sele”and the likes. TY is widely respected for his unique but tacitly creative touch and an uncanny ability to properly groom the music range and expertise of hitherto unpolished talents.
