Welcome to my userpage. I edit Wikipedia because I find the process of research and writing thoroughly enjoyable and educational. I also believe that free and open access to knowledge is an incredibly important idea, however many flaws there may be in its implementation. My broad areas of interest are 20th century history and politics, biology, and science fiction. Most of my work has been on political history in Latin America and North India. Aside from personal interest, I find that these areas of the 'pedia have far poorer coverage than many articles on European or North American history, and so a lot of my work has been in creating short articles on neglected topics, expanding stubs, or rewriting poorly sourced and written articles. I have also spent a fair amount of time on anti-vandalism work and some other maintenance tasks, because that is easier to fit into a chaotic real life than content creation. I have an alternative account, Karellen93, that I use on insecure connections. Feel free to leave me a message.
