Welcome to my userpage. I edit Wikipedia because I enjoy the process of research and writing. I also believe in free and open access to knowledge. I write content related to 20th century history and politics, biology, music, and speculative fiction. Much of my work has been on political history in countries of the global South, which are very poorly covered on Wikipedia. I am also an admistrator, and spend some time on various maintenance tasks. Karellen93 is my alternative account for insecure connections.

I IZ SERIUS ADMNIM THIZ IZ SERIUS BIZNIS lolcat.jpg

I have been an Administrator on Wikipedia since September 2, 2016, with a brief hiatus in late 2017 for reasons unrelated to Wikipedia. Here is my Request for Adminship. If I can help you in any way, go ahead and ask on my talk page. If you take issue with one of my actions, feel free to leave a note, and I will be happy to discuss it, within reason. Fellow administrators, I am frequently offline for days at a time. So, if you believe that I took a bad administrative action, or an action for which the reasons no longer apply, feel free to undo it without first getting my permission: all I ask is that you leave a note on my talk page afterwards.

At my RFA, I stated that I would be open to recall, so here is the process for that, with the proviso that time and circumstances may force me to change it. If I take an admin action that you feel does not meet the standards that an administrator should, please discuss it with me first. If that does not resolve the issue, then a discussion should be opened at the administrator noticeboard. The discussion should be open for a reasonable period of time, and should be closed by an uninvolved administrator. If at this point there is consensus among uninvolved, experienced editors in good standing that I should resign, then I will do so.
