Holtsville is the proud Home of Suffolk County Ground Hog Day. Each year on February 2nd, at 7:00 AM residents from all over merge on the grounds of the Holtsville Ecology Center and Wild Life Preserve at 249 Buckley Road to see Holtsville Hal and hear his Official Prognostication at exactly 7:25 AM by the Mayor of the Day.
