W. Brian Martin is an economist in the State of Florida. [1] He has an M.B.A. focusing on economics and a B.B.A. in Finance. His work has on numerous projects around the state for both the public and private sectors. Mr. Martin concentrates on fiscal and economic analysis. His work involves fiscal and economic impact studies, forecasting, corporate finance, and expert testimony for litigation. Recently, Mr. Martin completed an incorporation study for Lakewood Ranch. [3] The study concluded that Lakewood Ranch could become a viable community upon incorporation. In nearby Bradenton, Mr. Martin presented his econometric findings regarding the relationship between impact fees and construction activity to the Manatee County Commission. Mr. Martin concluded that the level of impact fees can have an adverse effect on the construction activity in an area. He concluded that lowering impact fees could provide an economic stimulus for an area. [4]
