Requests for page protection

Current requests for increase in protection level

[edit]
Request addition of protection to a page, or increasing the current protection level
Place requests for protection increases at the BOTTOM of this section. If you cannot find your request, check the archive of requests or the page history. Only recently answered requests are still listed here.

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry. MakaylaHippo1998 (talk) 06:46, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Declined – Not enough recent disruptive activity to justify protection. One sock edit since protection expired. If they come back, please re-request. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:41, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. Mellk (talk) 07:54, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing – Adding unsourced edit by Temporary accounts. Panda 🐼 Arun (Talk) 09:50, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Temporary pending changes: Persistent disruptive editing – Page is target of low-level unconstructive edits all the time, but over the last few days it has been quite intensive. How about one month?. Nick Levine (talk) 09:51, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. Jalen Barks (Woof) 15:14, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protection: Persistent vandalism. BangJan1999 17:29, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Temporary pending changes: TA doesn't understand Wikipedia standards. UtherSRG (talk) 17:48, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Declined Better communication with the TA who is doing those edits would help. They are not a vandal. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 00:27, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Reason: Has been subject to some vandalism since the announcement that Kristi Noem has been fired. — Sgconlaw (talk) 19:28, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

User(s) blocked. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 00:22, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Pending changes: BLP policy violations – Serious vandalism from ip. Rht bd (talk) 19:46, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

User(s) blocked: ~2026-12415-56 (talk · contribs). The Bushranger One ping only 00:48, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Extended confirmed protection: Arbitration enforcement – ARBPIA. JayCubby 20:12, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

DeclinedPages are not protected preemptively. Simply being 'related to Israel' does not make an article fall under PIA. The Bushranger One ping only 23:11, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Reason: Request page protections as per WP:CT/KURD. Extended-confirmed protection was seemingly deleted on accident from the page in this edit: 1341897754 PawWiki2 (talk) 20:33, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Declined – No changes to the current protection level are required at this point in time. Removing the tag does not remove the protection. - The Bushranger One ping only 23:09, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protection: Persistent disruptive editing. Dieter Lloyd Wexler 22:29, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

Temporary semi-protection: Persistent sockpuppetry. Ban evasion by User:Rishabisajakepauler. RedShellMomentum 00:47, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Indefinite semi-protection: Persistent vandalism – Long term vandalism target, county is persistently changed due to a joke from a book (or something similar). ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) 00:52, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protected for a period of one year, after which the page will be automatically unprotected. Centennial (novel) says it's set in Weld County anyway... - The Bushranger One ping only 00:58, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
In that case I have absolutely no idea where the Douglas claim has been coming from. Thank you @The Bushranger ᴸᵃᶠᶠʸTaffer💬(they/she) 01:01, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Indefinite template protection: Arbitration enforcement. Arab-Israel stuff; to match with the 2026 Iran war article itself --- n.h.huit 01:22, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Declined – No changes to the current protection level are required at this point in time. Templarte is currently extended confirmed protected. The Bushranger One ping only 01:37, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Current requests for reduction in protection level

[edit]
Request removal of protection from a page, or reducing the current protection level

Before posting a request for unprotection, please discuss it with the protecting administrator first. You can create a request below only if you receive no response from them.

To find out which administrator protected the page, go to the page's edit history and click on the "View logs for this page" link (located underneath the page's title). The protecting administrator is listed in the protection log entry, next to the words "protected", "changed protection level", or "configured pending changes". If there are a large number of log entries on the page, use the drop-down menu near the top of the page and select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" to filter the logs accordingly.

DO NOT request a reduction in protection if...

  • ...you are being prevented from editing the page. A desire to change content is not a valid reason for unprotection. Instead:
    • If you can edit the article's talk page, use the WP:Edit Request Wizard to propose a change on the article's talk page. Include an explanation of the exact content that you want to change, and what the content will be afterward.
    • If the article's talk page is protected, you may propose a change at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection/Edit.
  • ...your reasoning for reducing protection is that the article has not been vandalized. That simply means the protection is working as intended.
  • ...your reasoning for reducing protection is basically "a long time has passed" without supporting details.
  • ...you haven't contacted the protecting administrator.

You may request a protection reduction below if...

  • ...you want to change the protection level of a template or module from full protection to template protection. You may add the request to this page without having to discuss it with the protecting administrator first.
  • ...you need to remove creation protection from a location where no page exists (redlinked pages) after a draft version of the intended article is prepared beforehand and ready to be published.
  • ...you are proposing a trial reduction in protection for a page that has been protected for several years, provided the proposal is supported by evidence such as talk page activity, page views, page traffic, number of watchers, frequency of edit requests, and prior history of vandalism.
  • ...the protecting administrator is inactive or has not responded to you in several days.

If you cannot locate your request, make sure to check the request archives to see if it's been moved there. Only requests that have been recently answered will still be listed here.

Current requests for edits to a protected page

[edit]
Request a specific edit be made to a protected page
Please add an edit request to the talk page of the protected page before adding an edit request here

Requests for specific edits should be made on the talk page of the protected article. You can create an edit request below only if the talk page is also protected, preventing you from adding a request there.

Otherwise, this is the correct place to use in order to add an edit request if you are unable to add one to the article's talk page. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to properly add a request.

I would like to request that... (I need to add a new topic on the page to understand my proposed merger). – ~2026-78104-0 (talk) 00:28, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Question: What you want written on that page? — Malcolmxl5 (talk) 02:26, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

One of the blue coordinates that are meant to be on the map are off-map, instead on the infobox itself. This is not visible on desktop Wikipedia, but if you switch to mobile view and scroll/swipe horizontally on the infobox, this singular blue coordinate will be revealed. It is very much off-map on the right. I am not fully sure on the cause, but I believe it was meant to be the coordinate for a Sri Lanka attack, since Sri Lanka is not on the actual map, but it would be located where the dot happens to be. This blue coordinate dot should be removed to fix the error. ~2026-47480-9 (talk) 01:21, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

The title should be changed to War in the Middle East, or 2026 War in the Middle East, or something along those lines. This war is not just Iran, it’s spanned India, Sri Lanka, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, CYPRUS… It’s something bigger, if it’s not war in western asia, it should be at least War in the Middle East. ~2026-14409-08 (talk) 01:56, 6 March 2026 (UTC)

Not done. The current title is the result of a discussion in which there was a consensus to name it "2026 Iran war". Any further change would require another discussion (which you would not be able to take part in as it would be restricted to extended confirmed users). — Malcolmxl5 (talk) 02:21, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
