Welcome![edit]

Hi, 瑞丽江的河水, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a transliteration of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

Thanks, and feel free to message me about anything. Paris1127 (talk) 05:33, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

November 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Cat12zu3. I noticed that you recently removed content from Namwan Assigned Tract without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Cat12zu3 (talk) 16:19, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

can explain why removing this map? [[1]]

as you can see, per this above common wikipedia info, this map was even linked to 2 articles in zh-wiki. --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 16:23, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cat12zu3: Hi, yes I know, the map was uploaded by me. The reason for removing the map: it didn't draw out the "Namwan Assigned Tract", readers can not understand where is the place and what this map wants to display. Based on my knowledge, the Chinese official map hasn't drawn Namwan Assigned Tract into part of China since the early 1920s (ref: 廖心文 (2013). "成功解决中缅边界问题——老一辈革命家与边界问题研究之二". 党的文献 (5): 88-94.). You provide a description shown at center left orange and protruding, however, the "protruding" is Ruili Administrative Bureau / Chiefdom of Mengmao (nowadays Ruili City). I also drew some Division maps of Ruili, so you can easily understand the details of the "protruding". If you got what I said, and agree with me, please remove the map, thank you very much. I come from Dehong, and am familiar with the history related to Yunnan, feel free to ask me any questions.--Xiliuheshui · chat 16:45, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK. (and as for removing that map - well that ball is in your court not mine) You could had mentioned in the article talk page or a brief actual reason in the summary edit.... --- Cat12zu3 (talk) 16:55, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Cat12zu3: I mentioned a brief reason 云南省明细地图 didn't draw Namwan Assigned Tract, maybe too short or not easy to understand, that's my fault. 😄--Xiliuheshui · chat 16:59, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
