Re my sandbox - I admit I briefly toyed with the idea of setting up a Wikipedia page for amblenorthumberland BUT decided against it due to all the trouble on here. I thought the purpose of a sandbox was to test/try material and I don't expect to be criticised for it or anything else I choose to edit. As for accusing me of deception - I'm not the one hiding behind a set of random numbers. I wont be using this account or Wikipedia again. Thanks for making me feel and my contributions so welcome! I queried the sandbox of NorthEast65 and within moments you appear here as United2013 explaining the purpose that you had regarding your sandbox which, oddly or not, is identical to the intent of NE65's. What am I supposed to think?-- (talk) 22:11, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Keys to the Past[edit]

Didn't notice the disclaimer on that reference.--Jcvamp (talk) 21:06, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Ah, you fixed it with your edit.--Jcvamp (talk) 21:10, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict)Cite request was really for the "export" word. Way back when, I tagged it on the grounds that quite possibly the coal went no further than, say, London, rather than abroad. I said as much in the edit summary but it will be buried among other stuff by now! I'm not massively knowledgeable about the subject but, in any event, I've removed "export" and everything else will be ok as there are sources knocking around for what remains. I'm getting very, very fed up of the COI socking etc. It seems clear to me that there is some sort of complete misunderstanding about the nature of Wikipedia.-- (talk) 21:11, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Is the COI stuff still going on? By the way, on The Ambler site, at the bottom of the page it says 'The Ambler is a project of Amble Development Trust'. That's where I got it from.--Jcvamp (talk) 21:21, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Also, there's the about page, where it has 'The Ambler is a project of Amble Development Trust'. Are you okay with me changing the phrasing? I'd prefer to ask your opinion instead of just editing back and forth.--Jcvamp (talk) 21:34, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
It is all over the talk page even in posts today, it still exists via the external links stuff, and there are unresolved accusations regarding your own interests. At least you are being rational, though :)
I've just had a major operation and am recuperating away from my home, which is why I am not logged in under my username. I am using a relative's computer etc, with a couple of nephews in the house who are very au fait with IT and not remotely trustworthy, like most teenagers. I'm not even interested in geographic articles and the only reason I saw this was because of the ANI report concerning the EL stuff. For fear of being accused of socking myself, I am keeping well away from the far more stressful area of Wikipedia that usually interests me and which right now would probably land me straight back on the cardio ward. The Amble stuff just passes the time but someone needs to call yet another community meeting in Amble and bang a few heads together: there is a gross misunderstanding of the purpose of Wikipedia up on the NE coast at the moment. I have a cousin who has lived in Seahouses for 30 years and I've never been there - perhaps I should make the effort when I recover and call in at Amble to do a bit if head-bashing myself ;)
I see your point re: the strapline etc. It could be changed to something like "Another project of the ADT is The Ambler, a bi-monthly ..." perhaps? I'm off to bed now: done far too much today and I need to take care of myself.-- (talk) 21:43, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Fair enough. I'll change the text the way you have suggested. The accusation about me was made by someone who was just adding their AmbleNorthumberland website. He says he doesn't know me, then asserts that Wikipedia isn't the only 'weapon' I've used against him. The only thing I added to the argument was that the Ambler wasn't a business, and because I stupidly used the word 'lying' he threatened to sue me and blamed everything on me. It's all very petty, and I'm just going to continue to try to find citations for information and see what can be done with the article.
I hope recover soon. Take care of yourself. If you come to Amble, I'm sure heads will be bashed.--Jcvamp (talk) 22:05, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
When I get home and am well, I'll drop you a line as a logged-in user.-- (talk) 22:11, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Sounds good. Good night.--Jcvamp (talk) 22:16, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Spinning your tale of woe to yet another person Jcvamp? You really cannot help yourself can you? United2013 (talk) 22:54, 22 January 2013 (UTC) (BTW I didn't threaten to sue you I simply warned you there could be consequences if you defamed me in print again.)

To - you just admitted posting and editing under a random number rather than your user name - yet you accuse me of deception when I posted accidentally on a computer already logged in on another account (its easily done) - maybe you need to be a little more understanding to new and unfamiliar users. I hope you recover soon, continue your hobby of editing to your hearts content and that you get to visit Amble in the future! Despite its fairly obvious divisions it is a great town! You know my website is just trying to promote and help regenerate the town perhaps you should take a look at it and you will see its a simply a tourism/information website for the good of the town. I didn't realise that was against wikipedia law and that people would react so vehemently to its inclusion. Don't worry, I have removed all reference to the amble website and I wont be on wikipedia again - its just not worth the hassle. United2013 (talk) 22:54, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Kailash Satyarthi[edit]

Thanks for your help with this article and great job! It looks a lot better, now! I was surprised it was allowed to go so far wrong for so long. Thehumandignity (talk) 21:23, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
